I have AV on the lens and the camera ... but I can change the centre of focus on the camera, so maybe I have that set to a corner rather than centre. Great chalk art!

Haven't had another lucky shot with the hawks, so tried out the settings on ...

DurkaDurka, just wanted to thank you for the camera recommendations. I took a couple of photos today, and they are soooooooo much better. I missed the hawks ... but I'll catch them tomorrow or the next day. Once again, I have clear, crisp photos. They're still a little under-exposed, but...

Quite true. Someone did something like that here and did get releases from people in the photos. Some of the people in the images were then profiled in the evening news. It did a lot to raise awareness of the stories behind the homeless people ... I think the book was picked up by a local...

Are there a lot of down and out people in Toronto? You should compile a book ... fundraiser with donation to the homeless shelter.

Thank you! I've been looking at that, and then turning the little wheel that's next to the small buttons ... not thinking about the thumb wheel. I'm pretty dumb about some stuff ... I really appreciate it. I've made the changes and will wait for the hawks to come out tomorrow afternoon again...

I think the ISO is cranked too. I let someone fool around with my camera one day ... and now I can't quite get it right. I think its set to 1600 ... Canon 30D ... probably similar to the 60 ... do you know which button I hit and what I'm looking for in the view finder to lower that? It's...

I took this photo of a hawk this afternoon ... the noise destroys the photo. Any suggestions? Does anyone slow down to offer him a twoonie? Great shot ... I sometimes wonder how you get away with taking shots like that without people hiding ... you must be very subtle.

Thank you ... that's probably it. The centre of focus may have been changed ... I'll check the settings and manual. I'm not much of a manual reader ... but I'll figure it out. I was reading today that noise can be caused by exposure problems.

Today, I noticed that my C drive is seriously overloaded. I store data on the D drive and recently installed some additional Adobe products on the D drive - although they are completely accessible via the C drive. What can I do to transfer software to the D drive after it's been installed, or...
