BEIJING (Reuters) - Live rats are being trucked from central China, suffering a plague of a reported 2 billion rodents displaced by a flooded lake, to the south to end up in restaurant dishes, Chinese media reported.

Rat meat is a delicasy in some parts of Asia. Costs more than pork or chicken. But the better restaurants get thier rats from farms in the mountains where they have not been exposed to various toxic runoff et al.
