Just wondering what y'all think about the redesign that happened a few weeks ago. I have to say I hate it- with the shrunken type, excessive lines and blotchy photos I see it as a bit a of throwback to the 1800s. The "Life" section is meaningless filler, and my dad can't actually read the new version very well at all- he keeps running for his reading glasses. My brothers and I get most of our news online, but the delicious irony of the Globe's last bastion target audience (older readers) now being forcibly disinherited from their news was amusing.
What do you think, guys? Does the Globe and Mail suck verily? I already didn't like some of the deadwood columnists, but do let loose and tell me what you think about this latest development.
