Hockey Canada to explain selection of Doan as captain

This is nonsense. Next they'll want a minimum of five players on the team who are members of the Bloc. We always try to send the best players available since the NHL is still in playoffs. It is almost comical to see these politicos scrambling around trying not to say anything that might be construed as politically incorrect. They have already played a few games. Could this crap not wait till the World championships are over?
Our government has priorities apparently... The NHL already ruled on the issue and absolved Doan of the frenchy slur, leave it alone already.
It's interesting to see the bloc' grasoing at anything to get them into the media right now, especially with the seperatists fairing so badly in the provincial election. I also think they have a double standard i recall the Canadian flag being burned and even one seperatist activists wiping his rear end with it during the big rallies for seperation a few years back amidst a great deal of slanderous comments made about the rest of the country. This was all over the media at the time, so before the seperatists start making demands like this they should look at there own record on the subject.
I guess who is the captain of a hockey team is of vital importance in national affairs, trumping environment, soldiers at war, rising gas costs, sinking health care and many other issues. If this is what MP's want to argue about, they should do on it their own time and not on my dollar.
And FYI to these idiot MP's, Doan was named captain because he's represented Canada the most times of all the team members at the World Championships, and to my knowledge has never declined an invitation unless he was injured, just like how "Captain Canada" Ryan Smyth earned the C. That's more than can be said about countless players who just want to start playing golf earlier.
