Out of all our original Canadian tv programs, what is the best?

I wash very few, but I honestly have to say:

CTV's Corner Gas is probably the best Canadian show I have ever seen

And get this! Corner Gas is the highest rated comedy in Canada, beating all current comedies in the USA.

Corner Gas has NEVER has fewer than 1 million viewers for a new episode, something rare for Canadian programs.

So the best for me is Corner Gas (CTV)

Other Canadian series I enjoy are:

Degrassi: The Next Generation (CTV)
Canadian Idol (CTV)
Falcon Beach (Global>)

That one done in Gibson, BC on the sunshine coast was good.

Also did anyone ever see:

CTV ORIGINAL MOVIE: In God's Country

That was the best Canadian movie I have ever seen in my entire life.

Probably one of the best meant for tv movies I have ever seen.

That was a huge success for Canadian programming IMO.

When CTV does Canadian content, they do it well.

Better then Global and the CBC.

hermann, that is the Prime Minister of Canada in the flesh.

He is very likeable and warm, when you have a personal relationship.

Not the cold, distant man, the Liberals make him out to be.

I have to admit I don't think I ever saw a british politician having so much fun before. Usually when they show up on tv they're desperately trying not to answer a question. i can't imagine tony doing that.

Politicians always do some stunt with Mercer to make themselves look fun and warm

I like Tony Blair though.

Tony looks like a great PM!

Well I don't know much about British politics.

But out of the media Tony looks like a very great leader on the world stage.

Thats just my ignorant view from the international stage.

Who is the Conservatives of Brit politics, and who are the Libs of Brit politics, and where is Tony in that?

Tony Blair is a centrist on the political spectrum. His party, the Labour Party is leftist, and his opponents figure him to be left of centre.

Sure comes off like a Bush clone though.

There, fixed it for you.

Read the criticism link. History is not going to paint a pretty picture of this man, despite what he did prior, I believe he will be known almost solely for the buffooning of Iraq and being the heralder of Big Brother and 1984-style policing/politicing in the UK. Ask Hermann, I'm sure he's real enthused.

Big brother state..

Yeah this always comes to mind when I think UK.

You always hear about all these cameras and someone is always watching in the UK.

Where the heck did this all come from?
