I did not say he needed it for the polls. I couldn't care less what the polls say. He is doing it for EGO and CONTROL by pumping himself up by calling others names, a bully. I don't care if he is a cons, lib, ndp or bq, I expect more from my PM as a mature adult than name calling. This name calling has become a real habit and it is infantile due to a lack of adult vocabulary and the absent of debate skills to defend ones point of view.

Here on CC we have better debating skills that the supposed educated members in parliment.

... Truth is the Liberals sent the troups in, underfunded and all..but they did send them there...

Canada's time commitment as made by the Liberals to Afghanistan ran its course the end of last month and the task they committed our troops to was accomplished.

This year is all Harper. Next year a few dozen Liberals get to wear it as well.

afa underfunding goes, take it up with Hillier. He made it clear he thought they had what they needed going in.

I don't get all the fuss, it was a slimy political move, nothing out of the ordinary there, it was pretty much bang on, what's the beef?

As OttawaBill stated, politics is optics, as I have stated before, as well.

The partisan game the Liberals are playing, is playing right into the hands of the Conservatives, Harpo's not scared, he's making tactical moves based on a know reaction scenerio.

The general public still believes in the old saying "me duth think you protest to much".

I think someone needs to investigate the meaning of anti-war! They are trying to use anti-war as being unsupportive of our troops. I am anti-war but you can bet your bottom dollar that I support our troops. Also anti-war does not mean supporting the Taliban. This name calling polarizes the people as well as the government and it sounds desperate on the part of Harper. He is better than that!

I do not think Harper is desperate, he is just benighted.
