I remember reading this story a while back. I was pretty enraged. Of course, with people like Laura Schlessinger out there and the anti-PC rhetoric, there is no end to people trying to justify this guy´s actions. I have met many a person who didn´t think it was possible for a husband to rape his wife. Yes, apparently getting married is renunciation of free will.
I think these things generally surface in relationships with psychological abuse/reward cycles that keep victims emotionally dependent on their abusers. This just happens to be a really extreme example.
I couldn't even finish the first page. If a man handed me something like this I would have literally have made him eat his words and then kicked him to the curb.

I would be more likely to say that the man needs a trip to the room with padded walls.
You know, I hate to admit that I know people with contracts like this, people deeply involved in BDSM. It's a typical master/slave contract in their circles, laying out what it expected, what will be tolerated, what won't. It really doesn't hinge on there being a marriage even. One of the doms I know draws up similar contracts with the men who hire her to kick them around. Hygiene, dress code, etc., all are addressed in her contacts.
That being said, both parties have to be on the same page for a contract like that to not be utterly stupid (well, it's stupid anyway, but I hope you know what I mean). lol. It sounds from the write up like this guy was perhaps a bit immersed in the computer porn culture, rather than paying attention to what his wife actually wanted. There's an important lesson to be had there for every male....

The funny thing is, the people I know who are involved in the BDSM scene, ARE career women. Much like the CEO's who seek out dominatrixes, so do dominant women often seek out someone to be their master in their down time. Obviously, this guy hit pretty wide from the mark, but if you note the wording of his contract, it's almost all about controlling her down time, not her day to day activities. There are women out there who gladly hand over their control of it. You just don't hear about them in the news, because they signed their contracts. lol.
