Colpy, he can be a windbag and he can be irritating but he does score some big points against loonies on the left. I just wish he'd shut up more when guests are on so that we really do have a chance to hear what the other side has to say. Some of the folks he chases deserve to be chased and others are simply doing the great democratic thing- speaking their minds.

MEDIA MATTERS: Great way to use a left-wing website to back up your claims against Bill O'Reilly.

Bill even acknowledged Media Matters as a far-left website.

So please use an objective source.

Quite frankly no source, is objective to Bill. Most media try to disclaim him. I support Bill and stand by him.

O'Lielly's hate filled rants speak for themselves whether on that link or on youtube.com.

If his words ring true to you, so be it. Even Hitler, heck, even Bush has his supporters. So it shouldn't be too surprising that somebody can find some good in that hate filled reich wing nutcase.

Bill O'Reilly scares a lot of the media, in part because they don't like their predominately liberal views being challenged by a more conservative, as Bill would call it, "traditionalist" viewpoint. It makes them uncomfortable.

They also resent his show's success, with it regularly being touted as the highest rated cable news program in the United States.

So they try to smear him as some outrageous raving loon, which, as anyone who watches the show and is honest knows, is untrue.

He has opinions that are generally conservative, but not necessarily in lock-step with the Republican party, or the White House. He has criticized Bush for the handling of the Iraq war, and the border issue, for example. He's obviously intelligent, can logically defend his own positions, and hold his own in a debate. I've yet to hear him state these horrible outlandish views of his, he's always accused of having.

Is he out-to-lunch sometimes in what he says? Sure. Has he been wrong? Absolutely. Show me someone who hasn't been wrong once, or said something dumb.

But he's usually right on facts, has opinions that are make sense, (even if they aren't always agreed with) and has an interesting, informative, sometimes entertaining show.

Bill O'Lielly said one of the little boys who was kidnapped and sexually abused probably enjoyed the experience. Let's face it: the guy is a sicko on more ways than one.

Yeah, Bill O'Reilly sometimes has his foot stuck in his mouth, he's so full of himself, and very very
old fashioned. Now, I'm also quite old fashioned, so I do agree with many of his "traditional ideas"
but he is a pompus ass most of the time, but at times does do good things for "real" people, and
defends the rights of kids, which is good, not sure about the "dumb" remark about the kidnapped
kid, don't know exactly what he said.
And I get very tired of his slamming what he calls "the looney left", he seems to hate democrats.
Boy I sure flip flopped on this guy didn't I.

Ok, lets continue this discussion an not feed the troll (gopher). I am not going to listen to an obvious Secular Progressive, Far-left, individual who will do anything to disclaim Bill, but in the same sense would never find anything wrong with "liberal" organizations.

You probably think the ACLU is a great, fab. org.? right? even though they defended the North-American-Love-Boy-Association, after a person read their literature and killed and raped a boy. And their literature described how to lure children...

Your a typical SP left-nut, and I seriously, don't want to listen to you anymore, so can someone who has some grounded opinions, post, so we can have a real discussion.

What a horsesh*t reich wing answer.

I gave you the proof you asked for and now you're attacking me for doing so. Just suck it up and say thank you for writing the truth.

Yeah, Bill O'Reilly sometimes has his foot stuck in his mouth, he's so full of himself

He sure has and there are plenty of links to prove it:

http://www.oreilly-sucks.com/billinfo.htm

As far as I am concerned, anybody can support his loony views if that is their wish. After all, we are a free country. But what is so crazy about westman's sicko post is that he asked for proof of O'Lielly's comment which I gave him as he requested, and the psycho criticized me for doing so and made no effort to refute it!

Now, that's sick.

Right on facts?

check this out:

http://www.truthout.org/docs_02/12.06D.moyers.oreilly.htm

O'Lielly is a bigger liar than Bush.

Hmm...he says O'Reilly didn't really invite him, since an O'Reilly Factor staff member made the call on Bill's behalf...:|

If the rest is of a similar quality of...criticism...it isn't nearly as conclusive as you think it is.

This is just one guy's side of the story. I'm sure Bill O'Reilly would have his own version.

In any event, I'm sure Bill has been wrong on some things. I even said as much in my other post. I doubt anyone with the kind of exposure and amount of material Bill has covered, has never been wrong about something.

You just don't like the guy. Admit it.

my, my, this is about his BOOK. and YOU are trying to bash HIM. If you want to do something useful, discredit his book.

And I am not, at all, going to take liberal, SP,-websites as "truth" & "fact".

Your being a troll and not letting us other members talk about the BOOK. Your just trying to find every little problem and thing with him. Well guess what you can do that with anyone. ANYONE

Let me guess Hillaray Clinton is a great gal, right?

White house staff described the Clintons as the most mean and insensitive white house couple ever. They treated their staff like scum. Rudi Gulliani attended hundreds upon hundreds of 9/11 memorial service. Hillaray Clinton attended ZERO.

See, I can do what your trying to do there with any person. But Hillaray is not that bad. She attempted to make a ground-breaking health care project in the USA. Hillaray has done good things for the people.

And so has Bill O'Reilly.. giving the people, and victims a chance to voice their opinions, and protecting the rights of others in the media ring. And keeping the powerful accountable.

I'm sorry but, gopher, your cherry-picking, all the bad things about Bill (not to mention from SP far-left websites), when you fail to recognize the good things he has done and come to a balance on the man.

```far left web sites```
LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!
These right wing trolls are something else. Had you bothered to see my first link you would have seen it came from FOX and that far RIGHT winger Greta Van Susteren (whose ultra right wing father defended FASCIST Joseph McCarthy) was the one that conducted the interview.
It is just unbelieveable that you in the FAR right reject your own sources when they don't suit you.
Imagine, Fox is a "far left site"! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!
Honestly, I don't read hateful posts and trolling. So I don't know if you posted a fox link or not.
Bill O'Reilly has done great things. He stands up for the rights of children who are raped and abused. He does what he can in the media to bring justice to these kids who are abused and sexually attacked, when lenient judges hand out half-assed sentences.
He keeps the powerful accountable and outed the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton, who use race to benefit themselves.
He has been vocal about Bush and the republicans about the Mexico-border issue, and Iraq war.
Your taking attention off the book and putting it on other issues. I wanted to discuss the BOOK.
I am fully willing to read your posts, if you discuss the BOOK itself.
Hmmm...the O'Reilly thread is still alive. As I've said, I watch him but his self-righteous lectures-cum-interviews do get a bit tiring. And I'm not all that convinced that the nation's children need saving less than we need saving from them. But Bill is consistent and most nights he is entertaining. It's nice too that someone in the media actually does seem to care about how screwed up things really are. I'm still getting through his book. I tend to read three or four at a time but I'll get there. Glenn Beck seems to be covering one helluva lot of O'Reilly pet topics lately. Maybe the two are twins separated at birth.
Yeah, I tune into his show quite often, don't always stay, as I also feel like reaching into TV and
choking him, or at least putting tape over his mouth, so his guests can answer. As soon as he can
see that his point will be "defeated", or that the guest might sound smarter than he, then he begins
to interrupt constantly, I was shouting at him the other day, so maybe I better keep away for awhile.
But, I do like his oldfashioned approach to "how we should live" and "take care of our children".
Yes, Bill is a bit of a phenomenon. As a traditionalist, he will have strong popular support. I just hope he doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. Or, if he does, that they're well hidden.
He is quite open about his past. Everyone who watches Bill or reads his books knows about his childhood in Levittown, New York, and his career.
The only thing he keeps out of the public is his wife and daughter. Which, considering him, is understandable.
