Not bigotry. I'm not Catholic and not horribly religious. I just find that what's her name does an awful lot of whining and I suspect it is to get attention. Her constant references to child molestation get tiresome, and that is my right to say, isn't it?

Sure its your right to be unkind and hurtful. Just as it is their right to tourch my rights. Have at it. You ever been 10 and beg for help from a Priest? Obviously not. Iscream it till the end of time if one other person finds solice in not being allow in their child hood plight by the catholic church ANY church.....I have othe stories believe me. Have you given much thought to the fact that not everyone can "get over it"? Some scares don't heal in a weak. Still no signs of Christianity here.

Let me explain it this way Bear. I am a very old school woman, bottom line. Very White-anglo english background, in other words, get on with it. No time for complaining about things that happened a long time ago. I have four boys, and I do not let them fall victim to being cry-babies. We taught them to get on with life and learn to advance. I have very little patience with grown ups still talking about things that happened when they were children, as if it justifies anything NOW.

I never claimed to be overly religious. I do belong to the Anglican Church, and we go on a regular basis, but I'm probably more of a nominal Christian then anything else.

Well let me give YOU bottom line. Ive been a victim all my life and if my experiences will help ONE person to know the are NOT alone in their plight then I will continuously show the shameful actions of my victomisers. From here to eternity. Life is as we experience, all of my ecperiences make me who I am and your attitude tells me you hiding a great deal in your past. I'll light a candle of clarity for you.

I don't see ackowledgement of the Pagan faith in there anywhere.

I haven't seen you take a Catholic in this thread to task on there rather overtly bigoted statements about Pagaism. But I have seen you throw hurtful commentary at a Pagan. Why is that.

No what I expected from a Priest was compassion and that never happened in fact he got down right pissed......How do you call yourself a "man" of god with no compassion? At least I KNOW why Mary is the way she is and I nolonger feel hurt from her. Shes afraid of loosing her child to "the dark side". I get that and I'll also light a candle for her.

I think both sides of the debate would agree that what's worse that a devout christian or pagan or even an atheist is someone who claims they're a little bit christian, goes to church sometimes, and preaches whatever happens to be on their mind because they feel superior because of it.

Not all pagans practice magic or sorcery to tame occult powers. A pantheist believes that God is all and all is God and that a piece of divinity is within all things in existance. Gaia worshippers hold that the Earth is our mother and revere her as such. They may pray to her but do not attempt to tame her so as to place her at one's service. This is actually in opposition to Gaia worship. An animist may revere an animal and try to take on the best attributes of that animal but would not think to place that animal in service to them. A female bear in defence of her cubs in the epitome of a truly great family value as a mother who would lay down her life for her family yet taming a grizzly is left to Hollywood animal handlers and zoo keepers.

There are many different forms of pagan worship beyond what your church thinks. We are all not Satanist and dabblers in magic. Nor are we Nazis or abortionist. I know quite a few pagans who are vehemently anti-abortion and bowing down before the ultimate in state control is also in direct opposition to some pagan beliefs in the power of free will.

"Culture of death" is not my term, though I rather like it. For other people, this is too easy, repent and convert to Catholicism, that is my dream for them;-)
