well, as I said, I don't mean to ignore questions. I suspect I just haven't read them, not an excuse, an explanation. I do admit that there are some people here I gnerally never read the posts from, except once in a blue moon.

As to a fight, I consider none of this a fight. It's a sharing of opinions, and, if truth be known, am not concerned one way or the other if people agree or disagree with me. It's the internet, not reality, in my opinion.For me, it's not life, but a diversion from life.

This is your failing and a shining example or irresponsoblity.

If you are inded a priest, then you have a responsiblty to act accordingly. I on the other hand am not a preist, I hold no position of power and cliam none. You do, therefore you should think carefully about what you promote and say. Many people that frequent the internet, do so to be educated, enlightend and commune with others. That is very real.

Just like I use certain words to insight reaction, I know full well what I am saying or posting and use the words of greatest reaction, just to draw in the people I want to. It's called trolling. Some do it with a conscience, others without. As much as I tend to insight, I also challenge those that want to be extreme. Just look at my addresses to northstar, for an example of that. You do not challenge those that bolster your opinions, but add unrealistic and unrational accusations. There lies the difference between us, I have a conscience.

In short, none of this is real, or worth the amount of fuss you seem to attach to it. If people are seeking spiritual enlightement on the internet, they are foolish and should re-evaluate their sources of information.

What I do as a vocation, or a job if you prefer, is of no never mind to this forum. In other words, it is not my task to represent anything here other than myself. It is only in the voices of others, others who have already rejected Christian teaching, that calls of aspiring to some ideal they have of how I should behave and/or think as suits their idealizations seems to matter.

My suggestion, if what I write is so distasteful, is to stop reading what I contribute. Otherwise, your issues with what I write, or anyone else for that matter, do not matter one iota to me.

You are a moral vacuum without conscience.

You post and condone the subjugation and intolerance of others, all the while sitting in some lofty pulpit.

You place little value in your words yet you post religious spam adnausium, what are you trying to say?

Your the one that has claimed to be a preist, does that not put some onous on you to behave as such, or does that position absolve you of any wrong doing?

The stench of your hypocracy is choking.

You vocation dictates a position of higher standard, it is high time you upheld that and acted accordingly, lest we negate your words for the waste they are.

This thread is about New Paganism!!!

This does not encompass us, we are practising age old traditions of natural healing methods and the use of the Creators bountiful offerings of medicinal plants and such. We see the beauty in the age and antiquaty of the Spirit in all she has created, this is old Paganism.

The New stuff is just new age fad stuff, something we would never partake in, so we can all calm down and let the Christians belittle the Newage hippies!!!

Yes, we all have these types of questions. With neo-pagans, you'll probably not find one definitive answer to these questions. They have a wide variety of beliefs all arrived at by each individual. that being said, it must pretty much be a free-for-all when it comes to answers to your questions.

Totally confuses me too. I tried reading up on it but gave up..it seems like the whole spectrum of crystals and heaven knows what else. Ended up asking my parish priest instead, figured he'd give me a quick take on it all. I won't share what he told me, other then to avoid it as if it was the plague.That certainly struck me!

But i'm sure Sanctus will have some word or two about it upon his return to CC.

Well, I didn't expect him to endorse it, but I was just taken aback by how strong his reaction was. I thought he'd just give me some basic beliefs. I asked him about Muslims once and although he told me it was a false religion(which I did expect), he wasn't hostile about them. Yes i know exactly what you mean, I saw and experienced the samething in my homeroom teacher (who just happend to be a Nun) in RCS, when I told the class in my essay that my Grandad could hear the stream tell him where the Trout were, because the Great Spirit taught him how.

She flipped a bisquit. Rapped my knuckles with a pointer stick, told me I was a heathen, called my Grandad a blasphemer, turned all red and slapped me across the face in front of the class. Proceeded to scold me, for quite sometime, all while the precious Non Native children laughed and snickered.

Ya I know what ya mean.

He was a very logical thinker and taught me that you don't swallow hole everything you are taught. He always said God gave you a brain to use and that meant analyzing what you were taught. I can't count the number of times I was expelled from religion classes or got scolded in class, it was humiliating. Today I would love to be back in those classes and really tell them what I think.

Heck, my mother wouldn't let my siblings and me play with this one family down the street from us because they were Protestant and she said they'd teach us their "evil religion". True, that was back in the 1950's, but it was a different time, even here in Canada.

there was none in our school, but it was cruel, I was so glad when I switched over to public school,

No we were young at about the same time and they filled our heads with INTOLERANCE toward other religions. However I had an advantage, I was English being brought up in Quebec and most of the English were either Anglican or United church goers and very few RC. Therefore my most of my friends were not catholic and you know what they didn't carry a pickfork. Sorry lame joke. But what they taught us was as lame as my joke. In school they tried to scare the s********** out of us but it didn't work. So there.

I've written him about that already, Bear. I don't think that he will listen to us and abandon his very comfortable position of not being reponsible for what he says. Taking responsibility is just too hard. It's much easier to rant about the blood of innocents and the narcissistic pleasures of Pagans.
I actually used practically the same words you did, when talking about it. The only answer I got was that Sanctus is not the representative of his employers.

Your words are talking for you, Sanctus. Your words show what kind of person you are. It is the ideas and points of view that you state that help "discern your psyche" even through the Internet.

Sanctus, right now I am going to say something, that might be personally offensive. If it is, give me your other cheek, or what part of the body you are supposed to give to your offenders
Sanctus, you are being plain ridiculous. If what you do as a job is no matter to this forum, why position yourself as a priest? I've looked up your other posts in Christian Discussion - you actually teach people, explain things to them, in a word, you behave like a priest. I would've agreed with your words, if you said about yourself that you are just a good and devouted Christian. But since you announced that you are a priest, keep it up! Because you look like a fair-weather priest and a fair-weather christian. In a calm topic with all the christians around you teach and explain things. When your faith and the doing of your church get questioned - yes, I would agree, that they got questioned in an aggressive way, by me in the first place, but still - you suddenly throw your hands up, and announce that you are not a priest, you are just talking here! What charming and convenient inconsistency!

Note that but for Self-Activated, none of the Pagans talking to you are Priests. But none give up their convictions as easily as you do, Sanctus. My Volkhv taught me one thing, I guess that is something that every Pagan was told at some period of time - our Gods and Spirits guide and protect you, you are always their daughter and for them you are always good. And the least that you can do, and what is your duty, in turn, is not to let pass a slur or an insult to your Religion and to your Gods. And what about you, Sanctus? You, a priest, hide away from discussing your religion?

To suddenly squirt, that this is all unreal, just exposes his irresponsoble nature, and exposes the fact that he is not worthy of leading a flock(read sheeple).

The young man that killed Lennon, was following the irresponsible words, spwed by an irresponsible preacher. He needed not say, go forth and kill in the name of..., but when all that is preached is how the sinners are doing this, this and that. And they are eroding OUR way of life. It is not unheard of for some wing nut to act upon those words and try to bring some finality to the conquest.

I hate "intolerance", I do not believe in "any" god, but I respect everyone's right to believe in
whatever they want. I don't like it when they constantly include "me" in their speeches about
their god in respect to "all " of us, I think they should just speak for "themselves" and allow
others to do the same. What they claim re: their god is "just" their opinion.
