All over the Montreal metro stations, I see large posters for SAW 3, the most recent horror movie. The poster shows a rather gruesome image of man's mouth with half the teeth ripped off by a tweezer. All the kids in the city can see this when they go to school. Do you think this is acceptable?

What do you think of the latest trend in horror movies? Intense, gory and SADISTIC violence...

The SAW franchise, The new batch of Texas Chain Saw Massacres, HOSTEL, The Hills Have Eyes (remake)...

Censorship?

It is something we should deal with on a daily. If you have children in this world as I do, you discuss, discuss, discuss.....

Kids will be exposed to violence by many different mediums, TV, Movies, Video Games, the Internet etc. Do you really think a static poster is going to make a huge impression on them when they can easily just download the full trailer from the internet?

Well it might exactly be the poster that would push the kid to check out the trailer on the internet.

You are right, kids will be exposed to violence everywhere, but to what extent should we accept this form of extreme violence as entertainment? What does this say about our society?
