The accountability bill doesn't offer anything. It's nice in name, but really has no teeth. This government, which was supposed to be transparent, is very secerative and had not offered or done anything to "clean up government".

I think Harper wants to reform the senate so he can get some conservatives in soon. It's for power, not to clean it up. Senators should be elected, not appointed.
The government needs some changes, but Harper has not even looked at Gomery's recomendations. Why?
It's true CDNbear, whoever you vote for, they're all crooks.

I agree Gonzo where'd all the honest politicians go???? Can we trust any of them anymore, all they care about is getting their party elected and Canada as a country doesn't seem to be much of a priority does it.

I think if you feel you deserve to be a leader of a country, and claw your way to the top, you probably have to break a few rules to get there.
I agree, but does screwing the constituancy have to be one of them. Frankly I don't go for those back door shannigans, lol. It's hard on(pun intended)my wallet and even harder on my faith in government.

Is that an oxymoron?

Yep, I couldn't run or be in politics because I lack the self control and PCness that is needed. I'm willing to give Harper the benifit of the doubt and wait with patience (well try) while he gets his grove going as PM.
