Argos are down some guys right now but it won't be an easy win for the Riders if they can pull it off. I'm leaning toward Toronto at +3.5. Janarion Grant would help and I think Nick Arbuckle will be okay. Running game might be the difference.

Riders won a couple of close games but do have some issues as well. Trevor Harris was right in saying it's good to win the games early in the year when the team is not playing as cohesively as they will become to be. Lauther will need to play better to avoid a load of manure showing up in his yard
Lauther missed 9 freakin points. WTF?

It was an exciting game. Riders led almost all game. Up 31-24 they missed a FG to be only up by 8. Argos tied it with 0:24 left. Then in a move that I am sure will be questioned, Argos decided to kick it deep and field only 11 players on the ensuing KO. The result was a Rider touchdown which was the winner. I cheer for the Argos for 8/9 games of the year. This one I was not. I think the RIder game brings the most opponent's fans of all the games except maybe Hamilton (being so close).

Anyway good game. I know most Argo fans were kind of pissed. My son was. They were all convinced that OT was coming.

From the look Lauther gave the holder after he missed the late FG yesterday something is not all good in Riderville. I thought he was going to kick him in the nuts. Boris Bede is out there if they want to go that route which might not be a bad idea as a punter / kicker.

Also despite the 3 - 0 record Trevor Harris is not playing well. Take away the YAC and Ouellette's big run and the numbers are not very good. I would have moved on or never gone there in the first place but I guess they think they can win with him at QB. Will they re-sign him for next year is a big question. I think he is holding them back.

That missed FG Iooked to me the result of poor planning/timing. The Riders were burning the clock and looked ot be trying to snap it when the 20 second clock reached 0. They should have just ran it to 1 and took a timeout or just took a delay of game and kicked it 5 yards back. The result seemed rushed to me and likely resulted in a botched FG.

I thought the Rider offence did pretty good. I think the Argo defence is pretty good and they seemed able to move against then pretty consistently all evening.

Argos played well but gave up too many big plays and talk about going from an upper to a downer fast on Alford's return. It must have been pretty quiet except for the Rider fans. Ensures they will be back again. Looked like good weather.

Arbuckle was good but no run game killed them. A couple of bad drops by Coxie and Cam Judge would have helped. Also thought Anthony Lanier and Darkangelo played well. I'll be surprised if they lose to Ottawa next week.

You picked the wrong team on Sport Select. Riders lead the entire game. Closest Argos got was 3 pts

The spread was 3.5. Argos missing the 2 point conversion would have been a better outcome for me than tying the game only to lose by 7 in regulation. Would have been a good OT given the rest of the game.

Tough game in Calgary with the weather and another example of why a retractable dome is the only way to go for the CFl. The quality of the game is tenfold what we got to see yesterday. Kudos to the fans that did show up.

Interesting football move by the Stamps signing Adam Bighill just before they play the Bombers twice. Unfortunate they lost the new guy they recruited and it could be as much a coaching move to go along with the emergency stop gap requirement. Micah Teitz who started the game for Calgary did not finish the game so may have been hurt. I can't see it hurting and surprised the Bombers let him take all he knows to another team. If he odds are right I'll pick the Stamps.

Reminds me of an early morning taxi ride in Jamaica when a dog was chasing a chicken that swerved in front of us and we ended up getting them both. It was a good move by the chicken who no doubt would have been pleased to know that he got that dog. It kind of scarred me for life.

Forgot to mention how nice the Edmonton home jersey's looked last week. Guessing the road uniforms will be equally nice. Kudos to the team for making the effort.

10.5 is a big spread that I don't think the Bombers are dressing a lineup can beat. No Demski or Oliviera for starters. Won't go so far to say the Elks win but it is possible Tre Ford comes through and saves the day. 4.5 to win outright.

Sounds like Jake Maier will be starting for the Riders with BC in town. My crystal ball has an upset in the making and wouldn't people go wild if Mario Alford takes another one back. Protecting Masoli will be key for the Lions. Last weeks reps will help.

Game of the week will be Montreal at Hamilton with MBT back in action squaring off against Bo Levi. There could be lots of offense. Cats need the win more.

It'll be a dogfight in Ottawa as well. Can the Argos stop the run? My guess is Toronto plays well enough to win.

So I was wrong about Edmonton. Truth is 3 explosion plays turned the tide. Bombers penalized twice for 15 yds. Hard to win games when the opposition keeps scoring from the other side of center and should have kicked a field goal at the end in case it comes down to points in the standings.

Elks have decent personnel with a big game against Ottawa next week. Boo birds will be out if they lose.

Big game for Jake Maier getting the start for the Riders against BC. He'll need to play well to escape criticism but could be the future of the franchise if they give him a chance to get some reps. Harris would better serve the team in a support role imo. Also dressing
Jack Coan for the first time this year.

Desperate times for Bo Levi and the Cats tonight at home. I'm expecting a lot of passing yards. Safe bet might be to play the over.

Well. . . that wasn't pretty. The Riders surely did curb-stomp the Lions. I think Masoli needs his vision checked. He may be colorblind.
When the game is close it's always good for the home team to get a few calls.

BC gave the game away as much as the Riders earned it. The real problem with the Lions may be the people that signed Masoli in the first place. Obviously the hope was that he would not have to play with many other questionable personnel moves over the McEvoy / Rigmaiden era. Credit them for finding a punter though. James Butler was one of the few bright spots for the Lions last night.

Shout out to A. J. Ouelette who continues to earn respect for his game. Jake Maier played well and no worse than Trevor Harris has in the first three games. I say roll with the 28 yr old unless your planning on Harris back next year again. Meanwhile Riders are 4 - 0 heading into a bye.

Major gaff for the league again with an Argo player re-entering the playing field to cause the fumble that was returned 100 yds for a td. How the Redblacks did not see it and challenge the call is beyond me. The level of officiating has been less than desired for a number of years and is something that needs to be fixed. Most of it imo is to do with the group at the top that likes things the way they are.

2 - 2 for the week. I'll have to wait again to buy the Lamborghini.

The other play that raised my eyebrows from the same Argos / Als game was when the snap was fumbled into the endzone the Toronto player shoulder bumped MBT away from the ball which was similar to the play called against Winnipeg in last years Grey Cup but not called in this game. Not saying it would have changed the outcome but it was a big play given it was a still a one score game at that point.

Als will get the 2 points back with BC visiting this week. Interesting they signed Alexander Hollins as I would have thought Reggie White would be a seamless transition back to the team. Speculation is Austin Mack is injured. Montreal needs to get the ground game going and may be missing Walter Fletcher more than they thought they would.

Calgary needs to stop the big play from Zach Collaros that they have to know is coming their way. If they can it will be a good game and hoping they get a good turnout for the inaugural Stampeded Bowl. I have Dom Rhymes and Dedrick Mills in my fantasy lineup this week.

Hamilton at Toronto will be good one way or another. I think Hamilton wins. Should also be well attended with fans from both sides at the game.

Ottawa needs a win and could use Dru Brown back. Edmonton needs a win for their fans. Tre Ford needs a win to keep his job. Both Brown and Ford have been fantasy monsters. I'll need more information before picking a winner but am leaning toward Edmonton digging themselves into a hole before making it close but no cigar.
