Greek wildfires edge closer to Athens

Wildfires in sweltering Greece are edging towards Athens, the mother of Western civilisation.

Needless to say, Greece is hot in August.

The Parthenon was shrouded in smoke as Greek firefighters attempt to beat the fires before they reach their ancient capital.
