Man sentenced to minimum of 38 years for murdering lawyer

Serial offender Jordan McSweeney has been sentenced to a MINIMUM of 38 years for sexually assaulting and murdering 35-year-old aspiring lawyer Zara Aleena in Ilford, London.

McSweeney will not be considered for parole until 2060, so could die in prison.

The sentencing was one of the first to be televised in England & Wales.

He would have got 43 years had he not admitted to it. So she gave him a bit of a leeway, chopping five years off. Still, I wouldn't like to be him tonight.

Murder sentences in England & Wales are severe. If you deliberately kill a human here then you'll likely never see the light of day again.
