Just wiped out all the jobs gained since the Great Recession.

Who's tired of all that winning?

Real unemployment rate soars past 20%—and the U.S. has now lost 26.5 million jobs

Another 4.4 million Americans filed initial unemployment claims in the week ending April 18. That’s down from 5.2 million the week prior, however it marks the fifth consecutive week over 3 million, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

At the highest of levels of unemployment following the 2008 financial crisis, there were 15.3 million jobless Americans. But in the past five weeks a staggering 26.5 million workers have already filed jobless claims.

Here ya go, stupid.
Economists suggest Canada's unemployment rate right now is likely around 20 per cent. Statistics Canada said Thursday that the country lost one million jobs in March, but that only provides a glimpse since the data is based on surveys in the week that started March 15.

And gee, I hope the CBC is a reliable enough news source for ya. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/jobs-unemployment-rate-covid-19-1.5526961
Yep, thank god Canada elected Trudeau again eh? I guess the 20% unemployment in Canada is ALL Trudeau's fault. Who's tired of that "growing the economy form the heart outward" bullshit stunting our economy that is not being the least bit affected by the pandemic?

Yep and Canada is keeping pace by percentage, only we will stay on lockdown while the US opens and goes back to work.

This time there is no Obama to save the world.

This time the President is a game show host.

Yeah, thank god Canada has a part-time ski instructor/part-time gym teacher as Prime Minister. If anyone can get a country back on its feet again, it's a ski instructor/gym teacher.

Yeh this spell correct does some weird things . I try and proof read but they sometimes slip by .
Well, the good news for you is that the Secretary of Health and Human Services put a dog breeder with no education or experience in medicine, public health, or management in charge of HHS's Covid-19 response.

I'm sure you'll be happy that the leader of the Covid-19 task force for the department charged with public health and welfare is a Dallas dog breeder.

Neither happy or unhappy . Let’s see if the job gets done before criticizing , he may be an excellent manager , he may be a dud , time will tell .

Our unemployment rate is 7% since Covid started.

US unemployment is 15% for the same timeframe.

The US also has at least double the infection and death rate compared to us.

It's a massive failure over there.

Really truly.

Capitalism will save this world, with periodic rescues from socialism.

The most sensible thing we've learned is to have some hybrid or blend of capitalism and socialism.

Let one run its course for a bit then switch to the other and vice versa.

And maybe we can take the next big leap and realize that that is the model that every country has had for decades at least, and more like centuries.

"Capitalism" and "socialism," as used in the modern "conversation," have no meaning.

Like "justice" and "freedom."

The terms can be nebulous or arbitrary, sure.

It's a utilitarianism exercise.
