Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Dr. Oz says he knows of no one with lupus and is taking chloroquine who has contracted Xi flu.
That is not a science based deduction.

Dr. Oz has been known to be a quack willing to sell/peddle any miracle cure that makes him a profit for some time now. I would tend not to read too much into anything he says.

Most people with Lupus would be very careful being in contact with anybody given their immune system issues.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Very happy and proud of the way BC has handled this crisis.

We have done far better than Ontario and Quebec because it was taken seriously right away and our March break was later so that helped keep it out of the schools.

Hopefully there will be a comprehensive review and Canada will come out of this with a far better system in place for the next crisis that comes along.

China reports no new coronavirus deaths over past 24 hours.

Must be true.

3M makes deal with White House, says Canada will continue to receive N95 masks
3M makes deal with White House, says Canada will continue to receive N95 masks
Trudeau was right not to react in some kind of childish retaliation to trump's attempt to hoard masks......as if they were toilet paper. The CDN negotiators are doing a good and responsible ......and mature job. So far the CDN fed and provincial gov'ts are handling this quite well.......with team work.

Yep, at the very least Trudeau didn't have a public temper tantrum on Twitter over it. I don't compliment him very often, but in this case I can recognize a job done. And I certainly appreciate 3M for standing up to the bully in chief.

Funny too is the fact that a bulk of the N95"s that Trump needs to help win an electi... I mean keep his health care providers and first responders safe will now be shipped in from another country. Hmm, funny how that working together thing came full circle to bite him on the ass like that.

3M and the U.S. government "worked together to ensure that this plan does not create further humanitarian implications for countries currently fighting the COVID-19 outbreak," the company said in a statement that emerged on the heels of Trump's latest marathon briefing at the White House.

"The plan will also enable 3M to continue sending U.S.-produced respirators to Canada and Latin America, where 3M is the primary source of supply."

During his briefing, Trump declared that his spat with the company was at an end and sang the praises of Mike Roman, the company's chief executive, as he announced that 3M would be producing 166.5 million masks for overtaxed and under-supplied health care professionals across the U.S.

He didn't mention, however, that those N95 masks would be coming from the company's manufacturing facilities in China, which is how 3M said it will meet at least some of the ever-increasing American demand while still filling orders both north and south of the U.S.

"We share the same goals of providing much-needed respirators to Americans across the country and combating criminals who seek to take advantage of the current crisis," Roman said in a statement.

"These imports will supplement the 35 million N95 respirators we currently produce per month in the United States."

So, once again, His Lardship makes a big, public pronouncement, then quietly backs off.

Belief in Trump is an intelligence test.
