You don’t need me to tell you but I’ll tell you anyway.
Don’t trust Prime Minister Justin Trudeau or Team Trudeau. Stand tall.
Jim Carr is Trudeau’s man for the west, an emissary to us peasants in the political boondocks.
After Premier Jason Kenney plays nice with Trudeau late Tuesday, this Carr guy comes out and people try to nail him down to something of substance.
But Team Trudeau are a clever bunch, so very slippery.
Take one of Kenney’s demands.
A firm guarantee of a fixed date for the completion of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion, including an assurance the rule of law will be respected and applied.
(Such a SIMPLE pair of questions- with NO ANSWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Pretty straight forward stuff.
But here we go headed for Trudeau Land, where words sort of start losing their meaning.
“There is no interest in any unnecessary delays.”
So when is the completion date?
“There is nothing we have done or would intend to do to delay it a day longer than is necessary.”
So why not give us a completion date?
(NO COMPLETION DATE from LIE-berals because they CLEARLY DO NOT intend to complete the pipeline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(And why no commitment to the “rule of law” - meaning radicals do not get to make a huge nuisance of themselves regardless of majority wishes!! It is well known that many native groups LOOK FORWARD to the completion of the pipeline so they will have access to maintenance jobs and royalties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Remember Carr is somehow supposed to be speaking for us and we don’t trust Trudeau and actually kicked Liberal butt out of Alberta.
“Because you never know on a construction schedule exactly when this is going to happen, when that is going to happen.
“We’ll see the pipeline through.”
In other words, it’ll get done when it gets done.
(Exactly - and as I have said before - the pipeline will be completed AFTER we fire Our idiot Boy and his crew of loser LIE-berals and get a new govt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Was this completion date for the pipeline brought up by Kenney?
Oh yes indeed. There was a full discussion on the pipeline.
Carr said there was no disagreement. Kenney was looking for assurance. Carr said they gave him that assurance.
“We make it every day,” said Carr. Oh, so it’s that kind of assurance.
Then there’s Trudeau’s No More Pipelines law, named Bill C-69.
Kenney wants it scrapped or at least overhauled.
How that’s going?
Again Carr makes with the political lip service.
“The government is open to talk about implementation with people who have ways in which the spirit of the bill can be improved.”
Huh?
What does open mean?
“Open means let’s have a conversation.”
(LIE-berals love to talk - its just TOO BAD they don’t think it should be a TWO SIDED talk - they want us to SHUT UP AND LISTEN - and be dazzled into obedience by meaningless LIE-beral weasel words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Carr does say next week the feds and the Kenney government will talk about a $2.4 billion equalization rebate cheque for Alberta.
(Ah- the LIE-beral solution to any issue- throw some GRAVY at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Carr does not actually mention the figure, nor he does he actually mention the cheque.
Anyway, the amount is a fraction of what goes out the door from Alberta every year.
Carr says Team Trudeau’s time with Kenney is warm and open with no hard lines drawn.
It was warm but the talk wasn’t heated. Not for a moment.

Well, there’s plenty of heated talk in heartland Alberta. Scalding, in fact.

Shannon Stubbs is a Conservative MP from central Alberta who sits across from Trudeau in the House of Commons. Unlucky her.

Stubbs thinks Trudeau might give Alberta a cheque and when Albertans are still frustrated the federal Liberals have some ammo. The MP can almost hear them.
“What’s your problem, Alberta? We gave you $2 billion. Be quiet already.”
(To be fair- at the time LIE-berals bought the Kinder Morgan pipeline - they also offered Alberta some low interest loans and other cheesy bullsh+T as a sop for bankrupting the province!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Stubbs says folks out her way are furious and skeptical, and when the discussion turns to separatism individuals are already trying to figure out how it would work.
“People are feeling forced into a corner. They don’t want to be there. They’re just at the end of their rope.”
(I know people who despaired of life in Ontari-owe under Wynne-bag LIE-berals who moved to Alberta because life was better there - but now ITS WORSE - so where do they move now?? And t is one thing to cancel the lease on a Toronto apartment - but how do you sell a house in the devastated Alberta market without going bankrupt - while also dealing with two small kids?????????????????)

It’s clear many want to look into separatism. They won’t get their wish from this panel.
They want to change equalization, a long-shot wager.

Stubbs recalls when the Speaker of the House of Commons, the referee for the mud-slinging politicians in Ottawa, scolded the lawmakers for their behaviour.
He asked them to consider what their friends and neighbours would think if they saw the proceedings.
No surprise, Stubbs chimed in.
“I actually yelled out: Mine want to see me fight and the more I fight and the more I misbehave and the more I yell that’s what they want to see.
“They don’t want me to stand up and act like I’m reading a book report. This is a fight for our lives.”
