(12. On the day when the Hour [of Doom] will take place, the guilty will [despair and will completely] lose [or miss God's mercy.]

13. No intercessors they had amongst their associates b, and they even became unbelievers in their associates b.) -- this is the meaning of the Quran 30: 12-13
.......................................................................

13 a Their associates are the Christ, the patron saints, the idols, the angels, the Jewish rabbis, the imams and patrons whom they glorified together with God.

They claimed in the life of the World, that their associates [whom they associated with God] will intercede for them [but in the Afterlife, they failed them and denied their worship.]

13 b It means: When they died, they discovered that they were wrong by their worshiping the associates [together with or besides God] ... therefore, they disbelieved in them in the Afterlife.

And for this reason, the verb is in past tense ... (They even became unbelievers [in their associates [after they discovered the truth following their death.)

Comment:
The 'guilty' or 'criminals' here are those who deny any messenger or apostle of God, particularly those who oppose and resist him.
So those who deny Jesus Christ the prophet of God are guilty and criminals, and those who deny Prophet Mohammed are guilty and criminals, particularly those who deny him and work to frustrate his mission and contradict his Quran.

Once again it is cited in the Quran 30: 14-16

(14. And on the day when the Hour [of Doom] will occur; on that day they will separate [into two divisions: a party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze.]

15. As for those who believed and worked righteous [deeds], they will be delighted in a meadow [in Paradise.]

16. But as for those who disbelieved, denied Our signs [of revelation], and [denied] the meeting of the Next Life; such, in the torment, will be arraigned.)

Another time this is mentioned in the Quran 45: 27, which means:

(To God belongs the ownership of the heavens and the earth a, and on the day when the Hour [of Doom] b will take place; on that day 'those believing in falsehood' will lose c.)
.............................................................................

27 a i.e. the planets including the earth.

27 b It means: Doomsday.

27 c For they will lose Paradise and will be chastised in the Fire.

Is this a climate crisis thing?

Doomsday is a cosmic event, which will be inevitable.
This Doomsday has been fully explained by Mohammed-Ali Hassan Al-Mahdi (surnamed Al-Hilly) in his book The Universe and the Quran.. available on the web

None of the past prophets did speak clearly about Doomsday, while Al-Mahdi (the apostle of the Christ) defined Doomsday, and when it will occur and the natural factors leading to its inevitable coming.
