I'm starting to wonder if that threatening tweet didn't originate with a Russian "disruptor". If a Saudi really sent that threat, he/she is terminally stupid. The discord that it is generating is right out of Putin's current play book, though.

As far as the rest of the Saudi outrage is concerned, don't let the door hit your ass when you leave, Abdullah.

Of course putin created this from his own keyboard, I see your on the same page as cnn so perhaps you can provide a hint of evidence for your claim. Cnn has used every adjective in the book y'know assumed, appeared n' indicated, etc but presented diddly for bed rock evidence reverting only to the house of cards the special investigator is constructing to try and finger russia.
Have noticed no mention from ottawa on all the humanitarian action the saudis have bestowed upon yemen, we hafta understand this could hurt our sales of war toys.

With all that's going on in the world this seems like a fairly minor internal issue that will have to be resolved in the country. But such things can be exagerated out of all proportion when it becomes a cause celebre of the feminist coven that rules the Liberal Party.. and the milquetoast fop of a PM.. Justin.. who cringes before the sisterhood's dictates.

Saudi Arabia is making a big fuss so people will understand they will make a big fuss.

The two countries mean little to each other so we are an appropriate pawn in their game of hide the human rights.

Interesting our trusted allies, the UK and the US are saying, it’s your problem.

Why are we pushing Human rights in a shithole country, nothing in it for Canadian taxpayers.

Libs are real idiots!!

Yeah but... here's the thing.

Canada's back!

Remember that? Remember the smugness of Liberals, of Trudeau, as they acted as if Canada had been some sort of international outcast prior to the Liberals getting elected? Now with Mr. Selfie in charge, the world was going to swoon and embrace us as long lost buddies!

Except that hasn't happened.

Russia doesn't like us. China doesn't like us. The US doesn't like us.
Those three are kinda, sorta important.

Our screwing around with the TPP antagonized Japan and infuriated Australia.

India... do I have to say anything about how India feels about us now?

The only thing the Liberals had going for them in terms of foreign affairs success was that backing away from our loud support of Israel made the Muslim world more comfortable. It was them, and Saudi money, which controls a lot of third world votes at the UN, which cost us the UN seat last time. And Trudeau wants that seat so bad he salivates just thinking about how smug he'll be if we get it. And now the Saudis are pissed at our virtue signaling, and will make sure we don't get it.

So much for the Liberals' glorious new dawn of Canada's new place in the world.

Cuts ties with Saudi Arabia.

Upgrade our refineries in Eastern Canada to refine our Bitumin

Build a pipeline East instead of using rail cars.

Problem solved!

Like if we're taking extra heavy oil from Venezuela then there should be no reason why we don't prioritize our oil first.

I believe a few more things have to happen before any of that list is a done deal. We import oil for the same reason the US imports coal from Argentinian. The same multi-national companies own both companies and one is given a boost in production to help their production and profit margins are higher so Canadian oil stays in the ground to make shareholders more money per year.

If there is a bunch of people like you, certainly Canada will prosper.

According to your corrupt thinking, you deem the US, Russia and China against Canada!
While all these are not against Canada but only according to your sick imagination.

I tell you a secret: although you don't deserve to know it .. all the world likes Canada .. till now of course .. unless they support the Wicked Zionists of Tel Aviv.

Moreover, I tell the Canadian a secret:
The Canadian better make good ties with the Arab and Muslim world .. which will rationally and wisely far better than enslaving themselves to the Wicked Zionists of Tel Aviv and their allies inside Canada.

At the rate that the planet is heating up, Saudi Arabia and it's surrounding neighbours will become uninhsbitsble desert in about a generation or two. Those same arrogant pricks are going to try to emmigrate to safer places like Canada to survive. They had better make peace with us.

. . . anybody got a copy on that chapter about how you turn a 'snowball into an avalanche' at the foreign relations level?

Did you miss the part about them having a shore-line for 75% of their border. Solar and desalination plants were made for each other.
We might have trouble keeping mold from the grain if we have to store it wetter than usual

Did you miss the part about shorelines disappearing under the sea?

Desalinated water is going to do sweet F.A. when its 55°C every day.

You are aware a 'shoreline' is where land and water meet right? Before they lose any the Dead Sea will be a rift that is wider than the African Rift is at the moment.
55C could evaporate a lot of water in a day and underground condensers would turn it into distilled water.

Perhaps ship them them some Hudson Bay Ice eh?
