The Neverendum .... What are you going to do, re-run it until everyone is happy with the result?

They should give more options. A lot of Brexiters don't want any negotiations or deals with EU. They just want to get straight out.

What kind of Brexit would you like?
Pick at least one Brexit option but no fewer than three unless otherwise directed by local aristocracy or voting north of Norfolk and/or south of Southampton. Uncounted Brexit ballots can be redeemed for $1 off a sausage roll at participating Greggs on or before the Queen's second birthday.

  • Hold the Brexit
  • Hard Brexit
  • Poached Brexit
  • Full English Brexit
  • Continental Brexit

They should make such an important decision best of 7. Like hockey playoffs.

You're basically saying it's anti-democratic to hold an referendum.
Um, they already held a referendum on this very issue. Do try to keep up.

Of course PM Heath dragging Britain into the EEC/EU illegally and unconstitutionally doesn't bother you one bit. But omg, no do-over referendum? What an affront to democracy!

People change their minds. Democracies tend to vote on the same issue more than once. In 2015 Canada changed governments despite voting for a different government 4 years prior. Positively fascist of us.

In the UK, Theresa May called an election last year, despite having one just two years earlier. She said the reason for the election was to strengthen the government's Brexit postition, despite the country voting for Brexit the year before. The result was her party winning fewer seats. This is all very strange from your perspective that votes once held don't need to happen again.

You have no idea what my position on the EU is. I think your idea that it's fascist to hold another vote is wrong. It doesn't mean that I like the EU or I think there should be another referendum.

 Yeah, because there's a set mechanism for having elections every 4 years, unless the PM/Premier pulls a snap election. And when it comes to majority govts, Canadians are stuck with their choice until at least the next election. There's no do-overs before then because one side or the other is unhappy with the result.
Meanwhile, Trudeau has been found guilty of violating federal ethics laws. Are we going to get a do-over vote before Oct 2019? Nope. Can the Opposition declare a vote of no confidence against a majority govt? Not that I'm aware of.

And what if Britain did hold another referendum and the result was still leave? How many referendums should be held until the remainers get their way? Or what if the remainers win and the brexiteers decide it's only fair if it's a best two-out-of-three? You know, because "democracy". Or they could argue that the question(s) on the voting form were designed to lead to a remain vote.
No matter the outcome of an election, or vote on a particular issue, not everyone is going to be happy with the result. That's a pretty piss poor reason to start having do-overs.

Referenda are not binding.

You're basically saying it's anti-democratic to hold an referendum.

It is a shyte form of governance because it is damned near impossible to get a clear majority in a plebiscite. Half of the population, or near enough, will always be unhappy with the other half.
