You can't answer the question?

Look, it's really not a difficult concept to grasp. Since NAFTA was signed, manufacturing output has doubled in the US. Clearly tarrifs are not required to protect the manufacturing industry....only inefficient companies. If you want to protect "our products", you'll have to explain to me which ones are ours. I may rather get rid of them if they are so poor they need protection

You know damn well that I meant local businesses and you are just trying to be the smartest one on the interwebs so you win you SMRT now run along and play

They're not planning to charge for attending a birthday party are they??? Crowds(?) could easily be accommodated along the canal but lib buddies wouldn't get to cash in on this temporary ice sheet fiasco.

If he were a latin american prob it would be utopian but sadly junior is of la la belle stock.

Well I live in SE Alberta and we have a thriving manufacturing sector so I have no need to force taxpayers to support strong, dynamic, growing businesses. The question still stands, what businesses?

See post # 31 to the bolded

So you are either in Agricultural or Oil field Manufacturing, In agricultural manufacturing you sure as heck are benefitting from Tariffs. Since you rail against Oil my best guess is agricultural.

When the economy is already growing, increased government spending simply pushes inflation up and the poor suffer the most from it.

Considering the lack of deals Trump made perhaps we better accept that China is not our salvation. The South American country that is experiencing 4,000% inflation is our best bet. Too bad we will never get permission from the rulers of the world to do that. $30B worth of material support of goods that carry a 'Made in Canada' label if possible.

Tires, cabinets, windows, modular homes, sunflower seeds, fertilizer ...pretty extensive list actually

So are car tires and windows oil field or agriculture?

So you are playing silly bugger again you don't work in any of these do you? half the first list is protected the rest are American companies with Canadian manufacturing so wouldn't be illegible for Canadian protection but could get U.S. protection

Look, I get that you're upset at the list of successful local manufacturers. I think you should now give me your list of unsuccessful ones that need my money to survive

Air Canada, Bombardier, Quebec, Ontario, So I think you are confused again a tariff isn't a bail out it, so it is your choice to pay a foreign company the same price as a local one's.
