Guy Caron prône l'application de la loi 101 aux entreprises*fédérales | ICI.Radio-Canada.ca

I don't know if I agree with the details of this, but I do agree with the principle of a federal policy of official unilingualism in the official or dominant language of the municipality or province or territory even if it means opening the Constitution. It would save taxpayers much money and everyone on both sides of the language divide would be happier.

No.
Canada is officially a bilingual country.
All Federal services must be provided in both English and French.
For all citizens.
One of the few things that does bind us together.

How does it bind us together when statistics show around half of working age Canadians is functionally literate in neither official language. I know both official languages, true, but how does that help you if you're unilingual?

Bill 101 = The Quebec Nazi Act

I agree Bill 101 goes too far. That's why I said in the OP I wasn't sure I agreed with the specifics.

However, as for the principle of a policy of official unilingualism whereby federally regulated businesses would need to work in the dominant or official local language and not need to work in both languages could save many overhead costs.

Putting the details aside, I agree with the principle of official unilingualism.
