Then i guess the kids will have to pay with lack of opportunity due to poor economic environment for my lack of economic opportunity that caused lack of employment.

You can't expect me to out perform people that have 25 + more years of knowledge and experience . No one is that good.

You said that you could and that you did.

Now, I see, you are blaming your circumstances on others. No personal responsibility at all.

Ah, single-income family. Still, if divorced or widowed, where do you get the second income?

are you high?

Never heard of bad luck? No compassion at all.

When a person struggles, he needs to vent. And an anonymous forum is a safe place to do that. So lay off him.

Yes. The last 5 years have been good. Before that there was rough times. The worst was when a company goes bankrupt and you're wife is very ill while you're first born child hasn't turned 1 year old yet. Im only breaking even now from that 13 years ago because of the last 5 very good years.

Ahhhhhhhh..... you poor baby. That is soooooo rough. I doubt anyone could compare.... oh wait..... my wife almost dies while she is pregnant with our last, then she has a heart attack, then the company we both work for goes broke and closes down...... We move to Alberta because there is no work where we grew up......

It's called life, dummy.

Whining about it and expecting to get bailed out by others is his fault.

Well obviously people don't think it's worth the hassle because children birth rates are as low as ever, and falling.

So? The thread was not about him, but about a recommendation he made. I just disagreed with the details. You just attacked him in your usual way.

I hope you haven't traumatized your poor kids.

Hes juste intellectuallycompromised emotionally because ive pissed him off in the pass. He hates me for some of my comments regarding boomer i think.

Some of my comments are inflammatory. Its normal that ive developed a lot of hate from them.

No, the thread was about him from the beginning. You're just to stupid to recognize it.

As for my kids, 5 out of 7 own there own residences, this includes my 22 yr old, and they all did it without mommy and daddy footing the bill. They were taught good work ethics, they worked their a$$es off to get what they wanted and didn't expect others to do it for them.

So my kids are doing just fine.

So what do you suggest? We do nothing .

Young Canadians can completely abandon in throve the idea of ever having kids because of lack of economic opportunity, Insecure job markets that could leave you financially crippled for many years resulting in poor economic environment for children.

Isn't it clear Canadian families are in a crisis, And threaten to push younger generations to completely abandon the idea of even trying.

Lets do nothing. Lets just soldier on because that's just life dummy's? Maybe we can skip a generation and only have kids every second generation.

Im happy to here that. Im glad you're kids have found some economic opportunities that are stable.

You obviously helped them learn valuable life skills.

Hopefully my kids do as well. Id hate for them to not have opportunity to live a wonderful life.

Oh for fu ck sakes, I've been hearing this BS since I was a teenager.

"Kids are expensive", " there's no way anyone can afford to have kids and raise them",

Absolute bull shyte.

Most of my life I made what would be considered lower income. We made out just fine.

Thats fine. Congratulations. You are in the very small minority. Because every study, and statistics in Canada shows dropping child birth rates and a huge rise in young adults abandoning the idea of ever having kids.

So based on your experience we should ignore this data?

So lets just let child birth rates tank? And make up for it in immigration? Is that you're solution?

:). Thanks.

Perhaps a higher employment insurance payout for families to help keep financial environment stable in this time of employment instability.

How about you put away for a rainy day when things are going gang busters.

One of the problems these days is kids have to compete with "toys".................................adult toys :) :)

Lets do nothing and watch birth rates drop drastically more.
Why should we give a fuk about younger generations?

How about you put away for a rainy day when things are going gang busters.

Things now a days go gang bust faster then you can put money away. But lets do nothing. Im at the point in my life where i have 10plus years of experience over all my competition. Im set. I wont be on employment insurance the rest of my life. Instead of helping young adults with young kids that have no chance of keeping their jobs steady. Fuk them. And fuk their young kids. Fuk the children right gerryh?!

In 1980 employment insurance was enough money to pay for all of your bills. Now a days it doesn't even cover half.

And we wonder why consumer debt is skyrocketing. Well i say fuk young families. Don't help them. Let them struggle in drowning debt. They can go fuk themselves.

If they have to borrow 500$ a week when they are on employment insurance so be it. Merry Christmas here is your layoff and have a nice winter.

Obviously Canada will be a better place once you're dead Gerryh. I don't want to live in a country where we say. Fuk the kids

Wether we need to prepare kids better or give them more support. I don't care but i refuse to live by your mantra of fuk the kids.

Given government debt, the government cannot afford to spend more. Instead, let's make it easier for people to live on less. Remove NIMBY bylaws to high-density mixed development, small lot sizes, no parking, and build more walking and cycling paths. If we have more money to help the poor, great. But first we need to help them help themselves through strategic deregulation.

In fact, freedom of movement agreements could help the poor too. For example, are you are of how inexpensive life is in China?

Deregulated and open more opportunities to untie the poor's hands from behind their backs. No point giving them money until we do that first.

OH yes, and will someone give Gerryh some codeine to calm him down please.
