We are in Mississauga for a tournament. Boys are doing well. So far 4-0 on the young season.

My son is a lefty pitcher....first inning three outs on five pitches...second inning they hit everything he threw...3 in.

Another good inning for the kid....they hit but he is hitting the strike zone.

No walks.

Just got pulled after 64 pitches which means he may be able to pitch tommorrow.

Got a great hit as well.

Btw, we are losing 12 zip.

No wonder they are the regional champs...good team. A lot of good hitters.

My son played rep and they did have some mercy rules. 5 min max per inning for first 3 innings. And no bigger than 10 runs down after your at bat. After 4th inning, no mercy other than clock.

I think the mercy rule is to protect the arms of the pitchers. At that age, gotta be real careful with pitch counts.

I think we have different meanings on mercy.

Like I said, they pulled him after 64 pitches.

This has nothing to do RBI's.

We lost 13 -0....4-1 now.

Good lesson for the kids.

I don't recall any pitcher on my son's teams ever being allowed to give up 12 runs. Doesn't do anybody any good. And to give up 12 runs usually pitch count gets too high.
