The real problem is it does matter, the world is watching and forming an opinion.
Not just an opinion on Trump but an opinion on where and what America is.
I think all members regardless of party should attend, the rancor and debate is
for another day. Personally I don't think Trump will last the full term, and if all goes
well he will be impeached by his own.
In four years the Republican Party may well be struggling for its own survival.
The Democrats actually lost not because of Trump but because they didn't listen and
in some cases they ignored what the heard and continued on.
Trump is already listening to what he wants to hear and he has a weak split Republican
Party afraid to stand up to outrageous behavior. Having the Democrats now behaving
like children is not helpful.
I personally do not want to see America become a sunset power but it may well happen
because the only dialogue exchanged is mere insult for traded insult civility is lost in the din
of insult and fabricated truth.

'Songbird'' McCain should be sent to permanent duty in the Ukraine or Syria.

He's a LOOZAH!! He was shot down while flying a fighter sortie over Vietnam off of a carrier and that made him a "looser"according to Trump. Trump only likes WINNAHS! who don't let themselves be captured when they are shot out of the sky while injured, so that he can't move.

Watta LOOZAH!!

Not a manly man like Trump who suddenly got flat feet for a couple of weeks, when his number came up in the Selection Lottery.

Thanks, Dad!

How dare that monster call McCain a loser! Trump should be run out of town on a rail. Chances are, he will be and at double time, too.

If Putin wanted to undermine the democratic process, Americans are giving him what he wanted. They are showing disrespect for the democratic process that elected Trump as their next President.
What do the Senators (and others) who are boycotting the Inauguration think they are accomplishing? It will still go on and Trump will still become President.
All they are really accomplishing is dividing the country more and spreading discontent. It all makes America look like a third world country with no stability and no credibility on the global stage.
The absentees from the Inauguration will free up places for Trump supporters. I think he should invite those who staunchly stood by him along with their families. Fill up the place so that if the boycotters change their minds there will be no room for them.

Maybe, they're saying that it is a stolen outcome and not democratic, at all.
The country is already seriously divided and every time that Trump tweets something, the divides widen. They are getting ready to take health care coverage away from 10% of America in one swoop, with no new plan for them. America is supposed to unite behind this mean spirited monster? A civil war is a more likely outcome. America is broken and they just chose the wrong guy to fix it.

Interesting to watch the disintegration of the US government in real time.

I assume that if people believe he isn't a 'legitimate' president, they'll stop obeying any laws. And they certainly should stop accepting any form of government handouts or payouts.

LOL That will happen.

Funniest suggestion I have seen so far is to have brand new elections. I wonder if that includes brand new democrat primaries?

Nope. Clinton didn't manage to steal the election despite the media and whitehouse help.

The 'elite' are the ones in a panic and they have been the worst lawbreaker for several decades. Maybe you missed that his campaign was based on making the lives or the poor and the homeless a bit less painful.

Looks like Kerry will (should) be missing also.

US President-elect Donald Trump’s attempts to influence policies of other countries are inappropriate, US Secretary of State John Kerry told the CNN broadcaster on Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The secretary of state did not clarify which of Trump’s alleged attempts to step into other countries’ policies he was speaking about. "I thought frankly it was inappropriate for a president-elect of the United States to be stepping into the politics of other countries in a quite direct manner. He will have to speak to that, as of Friday he is responsible for that relationship," Kerry said in an interview with the broadcaster. However, when asked about Trump’s negative remarks on the refugee policy of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Kerry said that he disagreed with the Trump’s position, adding that Merkel’s policy was courageous.

Take you pills.

“He’s not a war hero,” said Trump. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Your Glorious Leader is an a55hole.

Man I have waited a long time to say that.

Oh, you're done if those idiots who posts in the middle of a working day. Do you what your Glorious Leader would say to you?

He say:"Gedda jab, ya layzee bum!"

Glorious Leader doesn't say anything quietly to anyone.

The difference is the slums were fixed up a bit rather than degraded like they have been for at least 20 years under the various ruling presidents. Your imagination is giving you your 'facts', you have to wait and see what he actually does before you can mock or cheer for him

Only if he isn't truly aware of just how big of a mess he has been left. I'm pretty sure he is a quick study and with Putin in his pocket there will be some tips along the way. You notice Putin doesn't travel very much and the heads of states come to see him instead of him going to see them, most of the time. I'm sure video networking is available in the command and control bunker. Trump should have that swept right off the bat. Just saying . . . .
