My only question is why the fruck was he in the left lane? He wasn't really gaining on the guy in the right. And people were cutting in front of him for a reason. I hate when trucks pass a truck going 1 mph faster than the truck they are passing. Blocks the left lane for minutes. He should have been going the speed he accelerated to in the first place.

I don't really care why the truck was in the left lane or the laws about passing. Just because somebody is jaywalking, you don't speed up and try and hit them....well...unless you're an idiotic truck driver.

LOL Thank your provincial Gov't for that.. setting everyone at 105 KM. Takes 30 minutes to pass the other rig.

Best measure, as a trucker, is set your speed control to 102 mph, let people pass and slow down if a rig is having problems overtaking you..

Well, I saw it as he sped up to close the gap. Hitting her was just a bonus.

She is wrong. He is an a-s-s-wipe. Being an a-s-s-wipe is not illegal.

Boomer, he's commenting on what Ski said, which is in the context of a Canadian perspective.

In which case it would be...

"Thanks to the dash cam, we'd charge the truck driver with dangerous driving." Again, from the YRP Officer I'm talking to presently.

Anybody operating 63,000 + Lbs on the road should be more responsible than this guy was.. he is lucky that lady wasn't seriously injured. I hope they do charge him with aggressive driving, and the fact that it was recorded may actually help the lady.

However, passing a rig on the right (undertaking) is extremely dangerous, you are in his blind spot and he can't see you.
I was on the on ramp entering the interstate in his plain view and the hophead hit the accelerater which would have been fine if there were to have been a merging lane which in the retarded town of Albuquerque there was not. He did not need to slow down all he had to do was maintain his current rate of speed. I was accelerating but this biotch wanted to race so he sped up leaving me no where to go whatsoever. The bastard scraped the side view mirror as he sped by and my daughter and I just damn near ran out of road space . Some of those truck drivers are hopheads. They need to be randomly pulled over to see how fvckin high they are before they kill people.

And if they are hopped up on Meth to stay awake they need to come down, and get some sleep,,,,,in fvcking jail.

I was in Oregon on highway 1 years ago cruising along the coast highway , doing the speed limit and enjoying the drive when all of a sudden I looked in the rear view and here comes this fvckin log truck hauling azz and when he got damn near right up my azz I had to pull off the road so he didn't kill me. Another hopped up trucker thinking he owns the fvckin road.

Overall though Oregon is the best place to drive. Laws there to keep truckers less aggressive.

He should have maintained speed, or slowed down or moved over.

As I've stated before, he is the Professional Driver and they need to act accordingly. Unfortunately I see a lot of truckers that use their size to push people around.

I have long advocated for every truck in Canada to have (1) eLogs (PeopleNet or Qualcomm) and (2) Drive Cams which generally needs to be approved by Safety and Compliance with these big companies such as Bison, XTL and they don't want the added expense.

DriveCam watches the road and also watches the driver.. so it's recording the driver, to see if he is talking on the phone, texting, paying attention, and so on.

If you're following the rules of the road and driving safe there should be no issue with a DriveCam.. if you're not, then you shouldn't be on the road.

A: The trucker is a dick. Not technically at fault though.

B: That dumb broad obviously didn't look. That is an unsafe lane change. She should be charged for the accident.

C: As Bear mentioned earlier the move of passing on the right is legal if done safely. Really almost anything is legal when driving if it is done safely.
