I don't think there's much doubt that AB would prosper better if Kevin was sitting in Rachel's seat!
What would he do differently?

I'm disappointed by all the O'Leary supporters not offering any concrete options to get Alberta away from the OPEC Oil pricing. Alberta's main economic revenue is Oil. If the Oil prices were at a stage where they were profitable there would not be this discussion.

How can anyone save the jobs indirect Oil workers if the Oil workers aren't working?

Who's supporting him. Agreement doesn't instantly mean support. I think if he didn't make the offer tongue in cheek, he's an idiot.

I've believed that all Canadian resources (Water, oil, NG, minerals, etc) should be nationalized, removed from the stock exchange and the influence of speculation trading before meeting the demands of the nations consumption. After national demands are met, the rest is sold on the market. With the proceeds covering the cost of supplying the nation and the rest deposited into the general coffers.

Trudeau would be proud, depending on the context of course.

You're still sore I see.

That being the case, I won't say anything else to upset you. Like how my position on resources makes a mockery of your silly claim that I'm a conservative.

I know how sensitive you are about being embarrassed by me.

You're so silly. I've never said you're conservative. You're a Conservative, of that there is no doubt. I fully realize you don't understand the difference but that's OK. I just chalk it up to your disadvantaged position. Someday we need may be able to help you

You should be careful with who you agree with. He is a narcissistic, out of touch individual worthy of ranking with the Jamie Diamonds and Koch of the world

And agreeing with his statement that Notley is the problem does equate to supporting his statement that she is to blame for the provinces downturn and not the Muslims of Saudi Arabia who have decided to abandon OPECs pricing/production standards.

I do not agree with his statements, thereby I do not support them nor do I find them amusing because he offers no solution to the problem other than a Trumpesque response of hire an Oil Man.

Your call to Nationalize resources certainly is polar opposite to my idea of a Temporary Made in Canada Price which does not involve any ownership changes or government fiscal support.

I'm open minded and agree with a broad spectrum of people and view points. You should try it.

And agreeing with his statement that Notley is the problem does equate to supporting his statement that she is to blame for the provinces downturn and not the Muslims of Saudi Arabia who have decided to abandon OPECs pricing/production standards.
Here's the gist of what O'leary actually said...

O’Leary said energy companies remain in the dark about potential changes to royalties, as a panel looking into what the province charges the industry has yet to release its findings. In the meantime, the NDP government has raised corporate taxes and is moving forward with plans to raise the minimum wage in the province.

I hope that might help you from making any more absurd statements.

I do not agree with his statements, thereby I do not support them nor do I find them amusing because he offers no solution to the problem other than a Trumpesque response of hire an Oil Man.
It's obvious you don't actually know what he said.

Meh, I'm a hippy that thinks the people who own the resources collectively should be the ones to reap their benefits collectively.

That's understandable, Bear, especially on top of all the embarrassment I've caused him!:)

The royalty review is just a few weeks away if O'Reilly - I mean O'Leary - and the usual suspects actually did their homework.

Oh? Did some one say it wasn't?

Maybe you and Cnuk wouldn't get so upset, if you spent more time just reading what people type, or say, instead of making it up in your heads.

Honestly.

You're getting more and more like S.J.P. every day- speculating on someone else's political stance is evidence, not to mention stupid! :) :)

If the province is so volatile that a few weeks of uncertainty is that critical, then it just highlights how ridiculous their singular focus on oil to prop up their economy is.

Thanks Ralph.

You clearly don't understand the context behind O'leary's statements

Don't be silly. CB supports and has supported the Conservatives. He's so blinded by party politics he thinks Notley is a failure.
