A surreal interview between US actor Sean Penn and notorious drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán has been published, just days after the fugitive was rearrested by Mexican authorities.

Guzmán, who has an estimated personal fortune of more than $1 billion and had been on the run since he escaped from maximum security prison in July last year, was detained in a military raid in his native Sinaloa on Friday.

In a lengthy article published in Rolling Stone magazine today, Penn detailed his meetings with Guzmán in October in an undisclosed region of Mexico.

Mexican officials have since revealed the meetings directly assisted in Guzmán's capture.

I wonder how that will go over with El Chapo.

Well if you're going to double cross someone, might as well make it interesting and double cross a Mexican drug lord!

Some people gamble at the casinos but others, well..............

Yeah....Dude only has a Billion dollars and recently threatened ISIS...
He's not a violent man though (responsible for 2000 deaths), but only
protects himself.

Maybe 'El Chapo' is/was a Penn fan. Anyway, sounds like
the Mexican Authorities would like to have a chat with Mr. Penn
also.

I presume that Sean Penn has some ambition to play El Chapo sometime and that the interview is some Method Acting thingy.

Different interests. Do you only ever do one thing in life?

Not one of you fools has read the interview-why would you since you 'know all about it'.

I did this morning. It was a pretty good piece. The interview was only a small part of it though.

So dont buy the magazine. If you dont like what people do, ignore it.
I'm a grown man with my own opinions Maynard and ill say what I wish as long as it complies with house rules. If you do not like what I say, then keep your trap shut bub. You don't tell me what to do or say. Got it?

If you take exception to my opinion, then good,,,who gives a shyt.

First of all El Chapo only hurts those who threaten him so if he
kills half the world that is reasonable isn't it?
Penn was in a foreign country talking to a criminal in a foreign
country. If it was in America I would agree that he broke a law.
Mexico is where it took place if Penn went home to America he
should be safe. Now America wants him but this didn't happen
in America.
The whole thing is one of the movie star things in places they don't
belong. We hear all the time right on the forum where if its a movie
star there is no big deal but have this with El Chapo and it bccomes
something else? What about Rodman he met with the symbol of
sanity in North Korea and nothing happened
