7 continents: NA, SA, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Antartica.
Six continents: North America, South America, Australia, Antarctica, Africa, and Eurasia.

In other countries they count continents differently. Should Asia and Europe be separated? Should North and South America?
Continents are a geological concept. The separation of Eurasia into two "continents" is political and cultural.

Well, I was always taught Europe and Asia were separate. Eurasia isn't a real continent.
Explained up thar ^^^^^.

I bet you were also taught that everybody but Columbus thought the world was flat and he'd fall off the edge. Kinda blows that bit of "history" away to know that the first globe was published in. . . 1492.
