Women being 100% obedient to males is not negotiable. It's part of the fundamental essence of Islam.

While I don't agree with anyone being able to cover their face while taking an oath, and that the face covering is NOT religious, but in fact is a regional tradition, the above statements are just stupidity. The facts are, that the vast majority of Canadian Muslims do not live with face coverings and the vast majority of Muslims do not live their lives with a Muslim woman under her husbands thumb. I know Muslim men and families that don't agree with face coverings and definitely don't believe that women should be subservient. I know Muslim families where the man is Muslim and the wife is a "white" Christian. His Muslim Family, In Iraq, accept her with no problems. So this continued bullshyte like above is just showing your ignorance and your inability, or laziness, to research and learn what the real world is like and not accepting the rabidly bigoted morons vacuous opinions.
If all Muslims think a particular way simply because some Muslims think that way then obviously all Christians think a particular way and all Joos think a particular way and all Sikhs think a particular way and all....

I understand people like you, Loc and Boomer (and apparently now Gerry) believe that the Islamic religion is different than all others and is completely homogenous but you are, of course, wrong. “Moderate Muslim” is an oxymoron. We have two kinds of Muslims: Terrorist Muslims and ignorant Muslims. The former are those who know Islam well and live by its dictums. The latter have no clue about their religion and have an idealized image of Islam that has no bases in facts.
Every “moderate” Muslim is a potential terrorist. The belief in Islam is like a tank of gasoline. It looks innocuous, until it meets the fire. For a “moderate” Muslim to become a murderous jihadist, all it takes is a spark of faith.
It is time to put an end to the charade of “moderate Islam.” There is no such thing as moderate Muslim. Muslims are either jihadists or dormant jihadists – moderate, they are not.
