Oh, I get it alright. Some folks just don't want to deal with the here and now and are always looking for somebody to blame. Unlike you, I dont care who did what in the past. That has nothing to do with the problem today.

No, some people don't like "blaming" those that were originally responsible and prefer to "blame" the ones closest at hand. Kinda like not taking responsibility for ones actions.
