Hudak's going to get a majority and then we'll get to see what the province looks like when it's legitimately f*cked up.

I just read news item that she is speaking to lt gov now to disolve legislature and call election.

I like the idea of making one and having employers match but to make it mandatory is stupid. Also it reaks of only being there to save government money later on.

June 12th is the election day.

Well, I imagine they knew that there was a decent chance that this would happen, so I am sure they were ready for it. If they are ready to go now, no sense giving anyone else any more time to get ready.

Plans like this don't really work if they are not mandatory. The economics of it change substantially.

The problem of people not having enough saved for retirement is an important one that should be addressed.

It could be successful if they can demonstrate that it offers a good return on investment and that the plan is financially sound. It takes a long time to establish that trust with the general public though, and I think they are a long way away from getting there.

Hudak's going to get a majority and then we'll get to see what the province looks like when it's legitimately f*cked up.

I imagine whatever happens it will be a minority.

If Hudak can't form a government this time he surely has to step down.

Why was it, again, that Harris bailed out and left Erie holding the bag - something like that other crook did but with about a half million less in goodbye pay?

Ernie inherited a world recession. You can try and pin that on Harris, but you'd have to blame him for high oil prices, European meltdowns and the bottom falling out of the real estate boom along with a major banking crisis. U.S. protectionism also didn't help our exports along with a rising Canadian dollar. That stuff wasn't just happening here. In his first term Dalton inherited that evolving recession as well, hence all the frigging stimulus spending to bail out the auto industry. I can't even blame that on Dalton, though he spent his entire time as Premier trying to blame everything on Harris.

The Harris government wasn't perfect, that did some stupid sh!t, but they can't be blamed for all of Ontarios woes.
