So, the obvious solution is to ban everything that could possibly upset a hypersensitive four-year-old.

Let's get on that.

Just what I would expect coming from a pimple face teenage troll such as yourself.

That wont do much on the internet. If they go under another will pop up immediately doing the same thing. The internet is very difficult to control which is a double edged sword.

WTF!! The owner of the website is ultimately in control..CC for example has mods, if they see something is getting out of control, they put a stop to it..

If they don't, then the website owner is ultimately responsible for what is being posted and the harassment.

Telling a person to kill themselves by drink bleach is past simple and stupid insults.. and the website owner should have either banned the person posting that or contacted the law.

And if somebody is a sucker for punishment, it's good if they persist?

This coming from another CC troll..

She is a teenager, seeking friends and subject to pier pressure. Use your head, I know you're not as old as dirt and forgot what it was like to be a teenager.. eeer or maybe you are... old as dirt. Alzheimer setting in?

All true. But stopping them there wont stop them everywhere. They can just go to another site or make their own and use it to seek out and attack vulnerable people. There are sites like that out there which somehow manage to attract people. If CC went down tomorrow for whatever reason it would not take long to find another similar place to join. If the website is based in another country that could make things difficult too. Different countries, different laws.

www.RantsBBS.com - here's one if you want to be abused..

Laws however are in place, anti-bully laws that can be used to go after the owner of the website..

The website owner can not plead ignorance, he can block IP's from states and countries where his web forum does not comply with local laws. If he/she does not, he opens himself up to liable to be sued.

Poor Boom. You're so oppressed.

Have you considered hanging yourself?

You see this is a prime example... to you it's a joke.. but you don't know the person on the other end of the monitor..

Example; I thought The Old Medic was shouting when using huge font.. and made a comment that I thought he was shouting. Turns out he was actually had a vision problem.. oops my bad, and apologized.

How do you know that the person on the other end of the screen is not going through a state of depression, and you pushed that person into taking his or he life.. you don't really know the person on the other end of the Internet.

Your ignorance and immature trolling just proved my point.

Nope, just pointing out your propensity to state as fact that which is not fact. Sometimes called "lying."

Wow, more BS from a CC Troll.

Ergo, my incredibly sophisticated judgement that you would not, in point of fact, hang yourself because of my comment was correct.

As was my private bet with myself that you'd come back with a butt-hurt whine about how mean and insensitive I am.

Nice self-portrait.

You really are a narcissistic slub... you have made this thread all about you.. not about the a young girl that somebody should have noticed was in need of counseling.

Have you forgotten?

A teenage schoolgirl has become the latest youngster to take her own life after being subjected to online bullying by internet trolls.

Hannah Smith, 14, was found dead after she received a series of abusive messages on the Ask.fm website, telling her to “drink bleach”, “go get cancer” and “go die”.

Her devastated parents who found her hanged at their home in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, are now calling for Ask.fm to be closed down before any more tragedies occur.

The Latvian based website, which launched in 2010, has been heavily criticised by anti-bullying charities because it allows users to post anonymous comments or questions - often of a sexual or insulting nature - on the pages of children as young as 13.

Some child safety experts have even described it as a “stalker's paradise” and an online petition has been set up demanding action is taken.

Messages found on Hannah’s account show how trolls left postings calling her ugly and saying she was overweight.

Thank you.

I couldn't have done it without your help.

.. not about the a young girl that somebody should have noticed was in need of counseling.
She was in need of an "off" switch and a sense of perspective.

Have you forgotten?
No, but do I care? Not really.

Listen, Mr. Sensitive and Deeply Touched by Tragedy, several thousand kids died yesterday. Most of them had no choice in the matter, and no chance to change it.

I don't let the media control my feelings.

You, on the other hand, get all gooey and squishy about this one because the media reported it and Locutus posted it.

Wow, you're such a deeply emotional and caring person.

Was this a tragic happening? Yes.
Was this tragedy preventable? You bet.
How could it have been prevented? By the parents being more involved with their daughter and knowing what she was doing online.

It's a complex issue. Laying the blame at one set of feet is flawed. Involved parents lose kids to depression and suicide too. Kids who weren't bullied commit suicide. It's way too complicated.

But, that being said, these endless campaigns telling kids not to bully, need to be tempered with more 'suicide isn't worth it' messages, and less making media darlings out of the kids who do it.

Oh I'm aware it happens far to often.. and governments are starting to catch up to technology.

I would like to see laws change faster.. The UK's cookie laws, Banning Porn (I think they should just force porn to the dot XXX extension and block that on computers, unless the PC owner wants that BS) and Anti-Bully Laws on the Internet. (US citizens can be charged)

The issue I have is they need to make the Web Site Owner more culpable for the on-goings on their website, such as MegaUpload shut down by the FBI and the owner charged..

In today's world young people are attacked in so many ways.. and they are trying to live up to impossible standards.

How about better support for the Mentally ill?

Depression is still looked upon as a mental illness, "oh you're just crazy."
