14 Steen, A (STL) (F) 3 - - 0 9 0 0 0.33
15 Hagelin, C (NYR) (F) 1 - 0 0 9 1 1 0.11
16 Pietrangelo, A (STL) (D) 5! - - 2 8 0 0 0.62
17 Del Zotto, M (NYR) (D) 6! - 1 4 12 1 1 0.50
18 Timonen, K (PHI) (D) 4 0 - 2 11 0 0 0.36

20 Lundqvist, H (NYR) (G) 9! - 1 3 12 1 1 0.75
21 Rinne, P (NAS) (G) 7 - 0 3 10 0 0 0.70

yeah you need rangers to get thru. I can imagine all the horrible poole pickings this year, its really
quite hillarious.
You are almost running on empty, and in first place, that tells it all.
good luck, (hope rangers fall, but after the last win, they are in good shape)

well there ya go kreskin, rangers got thru. I watched part of the game, washington were just panicky
in the last period, couldn't stop and think to make a good pass, were trying to do everything too
quick, and nothing got done.

so now, its new jersey/rangers

phoenix/los angelos

I think l.a./phoenix starts sunday

go l.a., go new jersey

Its kind of wierd, there were some people on this board who insisted that the playoffs were the be all
and end all of the hockey season, and now that it is here, I haven't seen them on here at all.

What happened to that focus, that the regular season means nothing, (which is when we heard from those
particular people), and now that the PLAYOFFS are here, 'nothing'.

I like the playoffs, have followed all of the teams quite regularly, but have missed some games, and
some periods, but have seen most, very enjoyable, just like I enjoy the regular season.

hockey is hockey, if you love it, doesn't matter if it is playoffs or regular season, or bantams,
or beer league, or team canada, its all good.

again- as gretzky said, "there isn't a hockey game that isn't important", I love that statement.

Even though I have no Coyotes or Kings in my pool, virtually no one else does either. The Rangers win pretty much sews up winning the pool.

After the president's trophy, this is all just a money grab.

i'll bet this poole is the strangest one you've ever been part of.
One thing about pools, if you just pick players that should be on top of the list then you're competing head on with the other 50% who picked in similar fashion. The only way to win is to overweight picks on one team and throw in some random darkhorses. Then if things go your way it probably hasn't for a lot of the others.

uh huh, I knew I would bring some of you out of the cobwebs.

Interesting other comment, amusing and I hope you are joking and don't really think I would
edit anyone's post. Wouldn't I get the death penalty if caught? lol

the nhl for the business heads, of course is about making money, but the actual game by the
actual players, who also make good money, is firstly about 'winning', as they would never have
even made it to the NHL without that being their first priority, the competetive spirit and the
burning desire to win win win.
I don't give a damn about the business side of it, but the hockey is hockey, just as it always
has been, and always will be, head to head combat, very intense, and that cup, in the playoffs
is all that is on the minds of the players.

So go play, and I will come and watch.

Once the season is over the players don't get paycheques. Having to wonder where the next meal will come from, it is a distraction for Luongo.

so the playoffs is 'it' right? the major part of the hockey year, so lets watch l.a. and phoenix at 5

today, first game of the conference finals.

i'll be watching, won't cost me a dime to get in either.

I wonder how much dust both of these teams will have to brush off of themselves before the game gets
going, as they both have had some time off.

should be good, a real goalie dual, but I do think l.a. have better scoring power, so we'll see
if that shows up in this series.

rangers ahead 1 game to 0, although jersey looked stronger, but seems the last period belonged to the
rangers. I only saw first 2 periods, then the rangers scored against the play.

l.a. and phoenix tonight at 5:30, if phoenix can't win this one, then back to l.a. for 3rd and 4th games,
and the writing will be on the wall, phoenix 'have' to win tonight.

playoffs everyone, the most important time of the hockey season, 'remember'? lol

go l.a. go

phoenix in big trouble now, lost this one 4 zip. l.a. looked heads and shoulders above them, and I

don't know how phoenix can ever come back, unless l.a. completely collapse on their own.

next two games in l.a., 2 games away from the stanley cup finals.

go. l.a. go.

WOW these playoffs are fun, best part of the season. lol lol

no, they definitely came unravelled, and so did mike smith, as l.a. were making a point of
crowding the net every chance they got, and he began to 'lose' it.

they will have to settle down and play hockey if they think they even have a snowballs chance in
hell to catch up.

very good hard fought game in new york, jersey won 3-2, now they head to jersey for next two

games.

Rangers block so many shots, that seems to be their big strategy, and I see jersey as a better team

but they have to get the puck past those blockers, and they did that tonight.

torterella sat gaborik about 3/4 of the third period in this game, as he lost a battle for the puck

inside their zone, the puck went to a jersey blue liner, he let the shot go, a jersey player redirected

the shot, and scored, so torterella sat one of his few top scorers for most of the next period.

what a jerk.

well, the kings are on the brink of eliminating the coyotes.

coyotes did get the first goal tonight, but that was it, after the first period
'nothing'.

l.a. looking very strong, healthy and ready for anyone.

go. l.a. go
