Oh, OK. (But not as great as the days of Scottie Bowman)

I think ken holland is a great g.m. and ken babcock a great coach, scottie was good, but he is
now associated with chicago, as his son is the g.m. there. gone and forgotton for me. lol

Guess I'm just too old fashioned!

just get to know ken holland's style, listen to some of his interviews, he is
a casual but very intelligent hockey man, and try to do the same with mike babcock,
that helps to move on, and catch up with todays scotty bowmans. lol

we have a very good g.m. in mike gillis

Cannuck since you are such a hockey expert and a lot of people are tiring of your antics, I just want you to answer one question and one question only "Who is going to win the Stanley Cup" in 2012? I don't want to hear any bullsh*t about who is not going to win it. Just answer that one question and then you can be quiet until next June.

JLM, since you are not a hockey expert and a lot of people are tiring of your antics, I just want you to answer one question and one question only "What NHL player thinks the Presidents Trophy is more prestigious than the Stanley Cup? I don't want to hear any bullsh*t about anything else. Just answer that one question and then you can be quiet until I tell you you don't have to be.

Gresh & Zo: Mark Recchi On This Year's Boston Bruins Team « CBS Boston

In 22 years they are the most arrogant team I played against and the most hated team I’ve ever played against,” Recchi said of the Canucks. “I couldn’t believe their antics; they’re falling and diving.

For shame! The Lions are your team! LOL! Game time is 1:30 our time.

I missed the ad on tv about 3 times today, and with the golf and the hockey I kept forgetting about the
football game, kept saying to my husband, did you notice the starting time,
nope. lol

I have such a busy sports schedule, no time for other silly stuff like visiting, and my cats and dog take
up the rest of my day, (oh yeah, there is a husband in that crowd somewhere). lol

canucks don't start till 7 p.m.

good, they got their win, but it was a steal by schneider that did it, he made many very difficult saves,
as auld didn't have any highlight stops.

he kept them in it to get them into the overtime, and get the win.

there was a couple of shifts where canucks were in total control of the puck, but no good scoring chances
came at all.

they have been so inconsistent that now it seems they are lacking a bit of confidence, so hopefully on
this roadtrip they can relax a little away from rogers arena and ramp up their game.

ottawa have a much better team this season, good to see that, no more being doormats for anyone.

colorado on wednesday

Looks like the Maple Laffs are no longer a laughing matter! Edmonton was no slouch tonight either!

I watched the edmonton game tonight, they played great, but last night they got blitzed by dallas, who
hit them and hit them hard all thru the game, exposed their 'light' side, they do need some tougher
players along with all of those great skaters to balance the team, and I don't mean fighters, I mean
hard, tough strong physical players who don't get knocked down so much, but can still play well.

Yeah, those leafs only had one way to go and that was 'up', looks like they are.

Canucks
Avalanche
Preview Avs continue homestand vs. CanucksDavis Harper - NHL.com Staff Writer Stats

TV: SNET-Pacific (HD), ALTITUDE (HD)

Last 10: Vancouver 6-4-1; Colorado 2-7-1

Season Series: This is the first of six meetings between the Northwest Division rivals. Vancouver has dominated the series since 2009, getting at least a point in the past 11 meetings (9-0-2).

Big story: The Canucks begin a three-game road swing at the Pepsi Center, where Colorado is just 3-7-0 with only 18 goals scored. Vancouver - typically an offensive juggernaut - has endured some recent offensive woes of its own, scoring just three goals in the past two games.

Team Scope:

Canucks: Starter Roberto Luongo is out with an undisclosed upper-body injury, but Cory Schneider performed well in Sunday's 2-1 overtime win against Ottawa. With 28 saves - including two on breakaways and another from point-blank range in the extra period -- Schneider won for the first time since Oct. 22.

"We needed one of our goaltenders to come in and steal us a game where it wasn't pretty and that's what Schneids did tonight," Canucks coach Alain Vigneault said. "To win in this League and in a consistent fashion you need great goaltending. ... I thought Schneids was our best player on the ice."

Avalanche: Despite encouraging shot totals, Colorado just can't find the back of the net on its home ice. In Sunday's 4-1 loss to San Jose, the Avs outshot the Sharks 37-18 but had just one goal to show for their efforts. As they go into the third game of a season-long eight-game homestand, the Avs must act soon to remedy their home-ice woes. Coach Joe Sacco said one solution would be cleaning up mental mistakes. Opponents have enjoyed 15 man advantages in their past five games - San Jose had six.

"We take some unnecessary penalties. It takes away the momentum from you," Sacco said. "You're taking away your best players' opportunities on the ice."

Who's Hot: Colorado's Matt Duchene has seven goals and three assists in his past nine outings, including the lone goal against San Jose. The third-year center has six goals in 12 career games against Vancouver.

Injury Report: Colorado wingers Mark Olver (head) and Peter Mueller (concussion) have been on injured reserve since early October. … Luongo is expected to miss Wednesday's game. Keith Ballard (back), Andrew Ebbett (foot fracture), Steve Pinizzotto (shoulder), Nolan Baumgartner (broken foot), Byron Bitz (groin) and Mason Raymond (fractured vertebrae) are all on IR.

Stat Pack: Luongo has out for two games, but said he hopes to be healthy in time for Colorado. The Avs would rather take their chances with Schneider. Luongo is 6-0-2 with a 2.58 GAA against the Avs over their past eight meetings.

Puck Drop: "Too many penalties. We can't afford them against a good team like that. We get some guys who play a lot in those situations get tired. That whole time you're killing a penalty, you're not trying to score goals. It's just not a good situation, especially against a team that we know has such a good power play. We talked about that before the game, tried to stay away from the box." - Avalanche goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere on his team's occasional lack of focus.

canucks played a very good game tonight, a full team effort, right from the goalie on out.

they remembered the game is 60 minutes long, and not 40, that is good, they're getting better at math. lol

schneider was very sharp, looked very good.

hodgson is getting better all the time, and glad to see burrows back with the twins, and he scored.

malhotra got a nice goal, from a very alert quick pass from hodgson.

kesler scored in the empty net, looked very relieved, and the guys teased him on the bench, monkey
off his back I guess. lol

they play back to back games starting friday against phoenix, then sat. against san jose.
