Actually, it's those dollar billz that are making the provinces in the east useless.
Those same dollar billz will cause the economy to collapse when we can't function as resource collectors anymore. By then, the manufacturing sector will have been a long lost memory. And yes, you can thank the feds for that. They're the ones that are supporting the oil drum and giving little to manufacturing.
In a very short time you'll see industry and manufacturing return to Canada.
The new economy of Canada is going to have a sticker on it it that says "Assembled in Canada" and not "Made in Canada".

Thirdly, auto manufacturing isn't the only manufacturing arm of the sector.
