Northkoreans is in terrible situations because of starvation and ignored human right and disaffection against goverment.the matter of worse, It's fail to make a success in the currency reform and Kim Jung-il's poor health and making accomplishments of Kim Jun-eun, those things made people more harder than before.Northkorea goverment cut off their rations from last year. that has made a lot of people defect from their country and even Northkorean soldiers become beggars or pillagers because of hunger. In these days, the number of students who habitually smoke marijuana in Northkorea is increasing. it's goverment cracks down this juvenile deliquency but authorities said it's quite difficult to control because there are a lot of childeren whose parents are Northkorea's executives or high-level class they can easily escape their surveillance .Most of all, Northkorea's teenagers are now doing frequently.prostitution to buy a philopon in local train station. I think, If these problems are keep going, Northkorea will never last.there is no country on the earth like Northkorea full with poor citizens.

It's probably the extreme opposite for the children of the party's elites.

While millions in North Korea slave away for the party elite, the party elite's teenagers are clubbing it up in Eastern Europe, studying bogus courses in Canada to gain naturalization and even at the moment, the elites of North korea are probably bribing everyone left and right to bring on a peaceful annexation between North and South.

If North Korea joins the South it'll be a matter of time before we start hearing of North Korean Oligarchs.

I agree totally, the North Korean elites are also afraid of repercussions from their own people and the world for what they did to the poor if they lose their protection. (the military)

with the juche in place, there's no way the unification would be peaceful and democratic. Kim-Jong-Un has a unique chance to save his country. How do you propose he do it? I'm on my iPhone and too lazy to post my opinions :)

He would have become a man of courage and one day just order his military to stand down and open the gates and let the people out.
