Honestly I'd love to learn Tai Chi Chuan. It seems to have quite a different approach, yet it seems there are so few schools that teach it in Ottawa.

It looks easy but it is ffar from it . Relaxing and yet a work out for the legs. Great for balance, centering. and yet relaxing the more you do it.
If taught by a great teacher you will see the movements how they can be used for martial art.

I think anyone who's studied another martial art before and who looks at tai chi chuan won't be deceived by the slow moves. I can see it ain't easy, but a beautiful martial art none the less from an aesthetic standpoint. A graceful martial art.

I had three styles taught, tho the movements were the same the approach wasn't.
First time was mainly just the gymnastic of it....boring. The second time was from a martial point of view. The last one worked on energy movement.

The martial point of view teacher showed me that the same movement but with a bow in your hands , it became a kata.
