So, awesome game last night. I'm perturbed Habs aren't as easy to defeat as I was lead to believe. That's like false advertising and stuff.

Yeah, one would think so, but once montreal squeaked into
the playoffs, then realized who they had to play, they
reached down and gathered a little more toughness and grit,
and they are also a better defensive team than washington,
and gave washington a lesson on defense, and of course
Halak was always there, and very solid.

Not sure if Montreal can pull it off, there is so much
talented offense on that Washington team, but I will hope
for the Habs all the way, as they are my old team before
the canucks were born.

That picture always makes me think of the Constitution. Eh, we could bend a rule and make it happen. Well, several rules.

My mobile can't view video links, but I assume that's a video of Ovi being mean. That's why people here should start a "Ovi, Don't Be a Douche" letter-writing campaign.

Just for your info Avro

The Canadiens tied up the series at two games apiece. If the Habs get past the Pens they will be hard to beat

the conference final, his worst nightmare, all of his
golden boys gone golfing.

I had a post for here a couple of days ago but lost it, so I'll just keep this short and sweet:

I'm all glad that we finally got two Canadian teams in the playoffs, but let's be realistic here. The Pens are the defending champions, and the red wings seem to still be on the ball, which means that it's pretty likely it'll be the Pens against the Wings for a third straight year in the finals.

I don't exactly see anything special with the Canadians at this point. They're good, but they're not great. I've been a Pens fan since the late 80's and followed their tactics for some time to know what they're doing or not doing.

The match between the Pens and Canadians might be close in the end, but more likely, the Pens are saving it up to beat them back in Pitts in the next game and then upset them again back in Montreal in front of their fans (They have a tendency of doing this)..... and even if they don't, the final game is back in Pittsburgh with home team advantage, which could be a flip of the coin win/lose, but my bets are on the Pens in the end.

Sure the Cans are trying to stick to Crosby and not give him any room to do anything, but that's nothing new and it's been a common practice against Crosby for at least the last two years, especially against the Red Wings.... which is part of the plan.

The same thing was done to Mario in the past.... they're the star players afterall, which makes them an obvious target by the other team, yet while the other team focuses mostly on one guy.... other players like Staal can make their moves, while Crosby moves to more of an assist position. Same thing was done between Mario and Jagr.

If the Canadians (or Canadiens if you will) want to beat the Pens, they best figure out these tactics and figure out how to counter them, cuz at this stage, I haven't seen evidence that they have and they're falling into the same trap as everybody else.

We won despite Sidney Criesby and terrible reffing....

Hey Gary....I see you.

I can't believe this team, never should have made the playoffs....did.

Should have gotten swept by the Caps....didn't.

Will fall to the Pens and the NHL....maybe not.

Awesome!

Man I love the Habs.....GO HABS GO!

I will be at the Bell on Monday night, drunk and giddy.

What does that mean?

It means that in a couple of Days, the Habs will be once again Have-Nots and off to the Golf Course. :p

Oh and the comment about terrible reffin?

The Ref's were more in favor for the Canadians then the Pens the whole game..... there were plenty of penalties against Montreal that never were called, and in regards to Montreal embellishing their falls/hits trying to suck in more penalties on the Pens, near the end of the game, CBC went through a video list of all the over-embellished falls they were making to try and get penalties called on the Pens..... and the only time the Ref's actually called the right penalty that night was shortly after the last fake fall of theirs and they shortly after boarded one of the pens into the corner.

Yet they didn't call the trip on a pen's player by Montreal that should have been called before their last goal.... then they called a tripping penalty on the pens just before they would have tied it up.

The game last night was a farce if you ask me..... but considering the brooding Montreal fans made in the previous game, I suppose it was only fair to give them that game, even if it was unfair.

frig the previous game, the audience was walking out before the game was even over... sure have no issue jumping on the band-wagon when they're winning, but are never around when the teams' losing. Even my wife who's just been getting into Hockey in the last couple of years said she never heard the crowd so quiet as they were at the end of that game.
