Disbelievers divide into two categories:

Some of them want to understand and wrangle and dispute only to find the true answer about some problems and mysterious points.

While another group of disbelievers take an anti-God attitude and hinder people from the religion of God.

These two categories will have different way of dealing in the afterlife.

All disbelievers will lose in the afterlife and anyone who does not believe in God alone and in the Quran: all such disbelievers will not go to Paradise:

>> God's antagonists will be punished by chastisement and torment.

>> While the other group will have a milder outcome and may not go to Hell immediately following their death: although they will not go to Paradise, but may live among the souls in the afterlife world, living in some way of life until Doomsday will come, when they (all disbelievers) will go to Hell.
Al these things you say are just opinion, and it is only human opinion, at that. It is irrelevant to life.

The lie is that you said: the Wahhabi agree about drinking wine and committing adultery.

I don't know about this; but certainly most of what is called the "terrorism" is designed by the intelligence agencies.

But some may mislead people by giving them half of the truth and confounding people by concealing the decence and devotion to God alone which is the basic mission of the Quran and Prophet Mohammed.

This has been answered in some past replies: the testimony of two women equals to the testimony of one man in the court of justice; because almost the woman may incline more to her emotions: so that one woman will remind the other about God's commandment and that she should not conceal the truth or else God will punish the liar, especially in the court of justice.

And in the inheritance, her share is half the share of her brother: because the responsibility and requirement of the brother to his family is more than her responsibility and needs.

And the beating is not for tormenting; but in bed that some women will not respond and aroused to sex with her husband unless by beating [and pinching ;-) ]which should not be harmful.
So what you are saying is Islam promotes abuse of females. What a filthy religion not even worthy of dogs.

You mean the one that "created" everything to be this way; death and misery included? Yup, benevolent and loving alright. For some people the punishment is living.
Misery is an attitude. There are really bad people who do really nasty stuff to other people and just about any other living thing that gets in their way.

I do believe in a creator but I doubt that it has an interest in the goings on on this speck of dust. I do thnk that the basic building block of the universe is energy and that the energy itself is the source of life and consciousness. It is what we do with it that creates havoc.

I am so glad I am not trapped inside the above beliefs,
and so glad I am free to do and think for myself.

I am a free being, not bound to any silly doctrine or
religious rule.

Beating and tickling (which should be fun?), what a crock.

What would you do if your god had left the inheritance to
the woman, I'm sure you would soon re write the book, it
conveniently was written by men, for men, to begin with,
that's pretty obvious.

To come on here and preach to others and put down others
because they do not believe what you do, is rude and
arrogant, each of us should respect what others have
decided to either believe or not, and not interfere,
maybe you're just trying to pick some easy membership
cash.

You are whitewashing this stuff. How about stoning a woman who has been raped?

If a woman is raped, she is not responsible about any adultery then; so why should she be stoned; this is not true. If she was forced and raped then she will not deserve any punishment.

Why does a woman have to respond to her husbands sexual advances if she is not in the mood? Maybe he is a lousy lover and maybe he is just a dick head. In this country if a guy beats his wife he is liable to find his penis lying on the ground outside the bedroom window when he wakes up.

The woman should not be forced; but some women like to be dealt by some way or another and she loves her husband to be a strong man, and she will respond sometimes in this way; this is up to her not to you.

Moreover, why did the husband marry his wife? If she does not give him his rights what will he do? will he go to the harlots to satisfy his need; because she does not have the mood?

Well, at least you don't condone rape or punishing women for being victimized.

What if she wants sex and her husband doesn't?

My question is why are you pushing YOUR beliefs on others...in truth, there is "Evidence" to support most all religions, some sort of historical truth that many use to support their religions. I'm a proud Anglican. I don't push my beliefs on others because I would not like them to do the same to me. Really this becomes a fight of words and makes people look like idiots. Not striking muslims or anything, christians do it too. I hate when the Baptist of the south mock people and demean them, even their fellow christians. Why do we all have to judge one another. Can't we all live and mind our own business and keep our religions beliefs to ourselves unless asked. I pray everyday, in public. People many times ask me of what faith am I (usually think I am Catholic). I explain to them, but I don't go about saying "You need to convert or you are going to hell you stupid sinner!" Why do we do this...why do you think that you are right and all is wrong. Yes, I believe in the power of the one true God, but the bible was written by humans...the Quran was written by humans. God did not divinely take it from heaven and set it down in front of us. Another fact is that all of these have been translated numerous times. Solo Scriptura is not the way anymore...could there not be prophets among us today as there were in the Olden days. What about the Apocryphal books? Do they not have influence in church laws. Really there are too many what ifs to be positive and pressing on. YOU can believe what YOU want, but don't criticize others...this post was extremely bold. I will believe what I want and you will not change that.

He is white washing nothing, Cliffy. He has admitted that one man does indeed equal two women in the eyes of Sharia and Koran.

He also has admitted that man has a God given right to beat his wife (for whatever reason).

As to white washing it, how can he possibly whitewash something like that? Our society holds that it is always wrong for a man to beat a woman, it is never justified. The fact that Islam claims that it is man's God given right to beat his wife, that statement alone damns Islam. There are plenty of other statements that also condemn Islam, but this alone is sufficient to reject the whole thing.

Any religion that glorifies beating of a woman (for whatever reason) is the scum of the earth as far as I am concerned.

I agree completely, how can you say that a man is equal to two women?!?! this is crazy. They are people two, they have souls, the have domestic duties that are probably a lot harder than your duties esp when you probably go home and for the fun of it beat your wife. I don't understand how any alleged Prophet could believe this...I mean believe it if you must but I still don't see it. This is crazy, there are many aspects in Christianity that some churches indeed still teach but I know that the bible is not a perfect book there are bound to be mistakes and the holy code of he old testament is well to be disregarded it is not applicable. Still how could you hold this to some degree of truth. I am disgusted at this.

Beating and tickling (which should be fun?), what a crock.

Now, talloola, beating and tickling can be fun (not that I have tried it), don’t knock it until you have tried it.

If two people want to indulge in sadomasochistic relationship (which involves consensual beating, tying up, humiliation etc.), that is their business, I wouldn’t judge them.

But I have a big problem with the patriarchs (in this case Islamic Mullahs and Ayatollahs) proclaiming that man has a God given right to beat his wife. Any religion that glorifies beating of a woman is strictly for the birds (actually this may be an insult to the birds, let us just say such a religion represents the bottom of the barrel).

But consensual beating, consensual inflicting of pain is totally different from Islam, where violence is baked integrally into the religion, where Koran says that man has a God given right to beat his wife.

The first instance (sadomasochism), I don’t judge. The second (Islam advocating beating of a woman) I condemn utterly and completely.

There are many things the husband can do. However, beating his wife senseless, beating her into submission isn't one of them. It may be permitted in your Islam, but in this country, he could serve prison time if he followed this particular diktat of Islam.

Really it isn't a matter of he could...its more or less, HE SHOULD!

OK, let us think this through logically and see where this leads us. One man’s testimony is equivalent to that of two women, there are no qualifications, no restrictions to this statement, the statement is absolute.

So let us say there is a woman, who is a doctor, or who has a Ph.D. She is admired universally, is respected by all. There is the village drunk, the village thief, the village idiot.

Now, if such a woman testifies one way and such a man testifies the other way, a Sharia judge has no discretion in the matter, he must believe the village drunk over the woman who has PhD or who is doctor.

Or let us look at it another way. Let us say that Hillary Clinton testifies one way in a trial and you testify another way. The Sharia judge has no discretion in the matter, he must believe you over Hillary Clinton.

Or say, Mother Theresa testifies one way, Osama Ben Laden or Mohammed Atta testifies another way. Again, the Sharia judge has no discretion in the matter, he must believe the testimony of Osama Ben Laden over that of Mother Teresa.

All I can say is, you can keep your religion.

Never looked at it that way but a great point! I guess it goes back to the fact that a free country is free, but you need not abuse the power. Freedom doesn't mean being forceful of religion, just go and do your thing and we will do ours. Then everyone gets along just fine. We are only put on this world for a short time, lets make the best of it.

...how to choose your doctrine
It should be chosen on the basis of what the evidence indicates is most likely to be true, while recognizing that absolute falsity (call it 0) and absolute truth (call it 1) are merely the endpoints of a continuum and almost every possible claim falls somewhere in between them. You haven't offered any evidence yet, all you've got are arguments from authority that you claim are at the 1 end of the scale. I don't buy it. In fact I think your claims are closer to the 0 end of the scale, and certainly well below the 0.5 mark.

Hi talloola
making poetry you are?
and the horse is the avatar
but alas the youth is so far
so inherit the energy to your granddaughtar

Anyhow the grandfather and the grandmother are equal in the share of inheritance; no difference here between man and woman, as also in the reward of work; all of them proceed from each other the male from the female and the female from the male and all of them are the progeny of Adam.
