Obligatory Military service?

This is the original OP and it only talks about military....and since the present and former members of the military are so fond of pointing out that killing is what the primary purpose of the military..... then ..... like I said....hell of an idea..... god way to teach our young to maim and kill.

Does Mandatory Military Service sound better. Ok, then every healthy adult over the age of 18 should serve a three year enlistment in the armed forces. Then they would be better suited to live in the real world.
Amazing, you can read. I have no idea where you get the idea that military is all about killing, you seem to keep that thought in the back of your head.

I think Ironsides was attempting to communicate with Gh in the other official language. Since Ironsides is a Marine, I doubt French is one of his official languages, lol. I like the attempt though, shows he's thinking outside the box.

That's ok Ironsides, I wasn't laughing at you, but the slap to the neighbours head part, I hope I didn't offend.

I just want to ask, when you said that, you referring to us as the neighbour or to your actual neighbour?

I ask, because he/she may be Parisian. A totally other, other way to speak french, lol.

BTW, I personally took your use of French as a friendly and respectful gesture.
