Who do you think will run for President of the United States in 2012?

Only two blacks were newly elected to congress this cycle, and both are Republican. Col West is from southern Florida, a bastion of the Democratic Party. He won in a walk. It is worth the viewing. This new Congressman was an extremely popular commander in Iraq . He was forced to retire because during an intense combat action a few of his men were captured. At the same time his men had captured one of the guys who were with the Iraqis who captured his men. Knowing that time was crucial and his interrogators were not getting anywhere with the prisoner COL West took matters into his own hands. He burst into the room and demanded thru an interpreter that the prisoner tell him where his men were being taken.

West might be a good VP candidate. My vote would be for John Bolton for the presidential nominee or Sarah Palin.

Sarah is toast as far as many are concerned. Mit Romney is the only real choice of known hopefuls
in the Republican ranks. The way things are going though don't be surprised to see the current
President win a second term Obama is rising again in the polls and he is starting to touch base now
with voters who were first of all frightened and then frustrated with the economy. Many more people
are starting to understand the situation they are in and how they got there over the last several years.
That is not good news for the Republicans, but the ground is starting to shift.

Sarah Palin, Walter? Come on man! The woman wouldn't know an idea if it came along and slapped her in the face. She makes G.W. Bush look like a tower of intellect... which most but his most ardent supporters acknowledge he was not. All she has going for her is a degree of sex appeal... and that isn't what is needed in the White House (on its own). Giving that woman the nomination is almost like giving Obama the presidency by acclamation.

West is a rather emotional guy and he will torn apart by the national news media. Besides, he was convicted and stands no chance of winning.

Convicted of what? He retired with full military benefits. Only thing stopping him is lack of Presidential experience (senatorial), but he has more leadership experience than the President.
