Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but, that's not veterans that have died FROM the war as you asserted, but veterans that have died SINCE the Gulf War.

Sorry Beaver, but, even soldiers get old and die, get into car accidents, have heart attacks. I don't see how that stat supports what it tries to reflect in your article.

Juan, do you really want me to prove to you, mathematically and with concrete science (often from your own articles)

That DU is not radioactive and is not more toxic than any alternatives available for weapons.

I've proven this to you several times, but then you bring it up again.

Karrie...it is a BIG NUMBER. Four thousand dead... that is not big enough. Now 70,000 dead...now we're talking. IED's, gunshots, car accidents after being discharged...count em' all and scream...

COVER UP! SENSORSHIP! MEDIA BLACKOUT! SUPPRESSED INFORMATION!

Well, it is a bit of an unclear chart Eagle. I'm still not certain if that number means what I think, or what db thinks. I can see where someone opposed to the war would leap to the most sensational conclusion.

I'd like to hear it please. If you have a link please post.

DU is so effective and deadly. Nothing can stop them. To the enemies of America...that sucks...so DU rounds must be banned.

Maybe a round that puntures the side of a tank or AV and splatters grape jelly over the crew? Will that suffice?

You've proven nothing. There is more than enough evidence out there that DU is dangerous for anybody's purposes. Medical doctors sure as hell don't say it is harmless and I don't want my family exposed to it. I would however, invite you to breath in DU dust for a week or two. Where do you want your remains sent?

Who cares what it means...it is a big number. Do you think the left cares?

But would you want atomized DU, or DU dust sprayed over your family?

I thought not.
Were my family about to be attacked by a T-72 Tank, I'd be praying for an A-10 and a little DU dust...........

You are so right. But if I was a US Tanker I wouldn't want to come up against a T-72 with a kinder more gentler and politically correct tank round.

I don't think my family would either!
Hadn't read that when I posted above..........great minds and all that.

I find it offensive.

Which is perfectly alright, DB and everyone else has every right to offend me.........after all, I'm a middle aged white male........I have no right "not to be offended" as do homosexuals and women and visible minorities, and the handicapped, and.....well, everyone EXCEPT heterosexual white males, according to Svend Robinson and the brain dead left.......

I defend DB's right to be offensive.

And I love Sponge Cake.

So there.

There, see everything works out in the end.... I'm a late 20's white male so I guess I still have a bit more rights due to having younger and smoother skin at the moment that I can use to flaunt and get my way with my ever so loving charm that I bask you all with everyday.

I'd just pour a jar of marbles out on the ground in front of the tank, sneak in behind and lodge a potato in the exaust (those are healthy for you I'm told) spray paint the view finders out and when the tank crew pops out to see where they are going, dump buckets of paint on them.... Weeee.... a whole Home Alone tactic. Works everytime.

The Home Alone tactic is fine so long as there are no children around to choke on the marbles, the spray paint is CFC free, and the paint is latex. Anything else would just be hazardous, and frankly, downright insane.

Oh yeah, perfectly environmentally sound. And a nitrogen fixer while being grown. Totally good idea there Prax.

If the casualty counts are still conducted in the manner used in Vietnam the real numbers are skewed. A KIA was alweays counted and reported. If they were Wounded they would be counted on the daily report but if they passed away next week that number went between the cracks. The Wounded count and the KIA count was never adjusted for changes. I'm sure the Iraqi and Afghani counts are skewed also. The big function in Vietnam was the enemy body count. That was a daily order and it better be reported at the time ordered. I have always believed that after the experiences in WW II the number count of US troops killed or wounded was often soft -pedalled due to public revulsion.
