Well, aren't we on a higher ground? As far as I know Canada has not been torturing people.
I've heard we've done some not so nice things too.

You said they do the exact same things. The US is much different than any of the countries in which its forces are in armed conflict.
Stop trying to put all your eggs in one basket.... My comment was in reference to them using torture techniques, not classifying them as identical in everyway.... come on now, stop wasting time.

Perhaps, but what are those in which you speak of?

If you are referring to the military handing over detainees to Afghan officials and them torturing them when in their hands, that is not us, and those soldiers of ours are following their orders to turn them over. When it was known and made a stink of, it was stopped until it could be somehow monitored. This situation is still foggy today, but I see no proof yet in which we are directly involved in those tortures, let alone using any information obtained by torture, unlike in the US where they purposely send them off to forign countries to do their dirty work. They send them purposely for interrogation by methods in which they don't want to be caught doing in their own country. We pass detainees over to Afghan officials, because they are supposed to be running their country, not us.
