A former Vietnam veteran with top secret clearance says he has personally spoken to numerous POW's who dispute John McCain's claim that he refused to provide information after he was captured and tortured in Hanoi, saying that in fact McCain's code-name was "Songbird" because of his willingness to tell all to avoid torture.
Jack McLamb served nine years in secret operations in Cambodia and other nations before going on to become one of the most highly decorated police officer's in Phoenix history, winning police officer of the year twice before taking a role as a hostage negotiator for the FBI.
"I know a lot of Vietnam veterans and a few POW's and all the POW's that I've talked to over the years say that John McCain is a lying skunk," McLamb told the Alex Jones Show.

I know, I was talking about you and DB.

An all of a sudden you find a conservative apologist that loves to see himself on TV and he speaks the truth?

First of all, I thought this was already posted?

Only a child thinks repeating a fantasy over and over can make it truth.........

McCain is very good friends with a number of other prisoners who stayed at the Hanoi Hilton.........they put the lie to McLamb.

McCain was AT the Hanoi Hilton.....reserved for unco-operative prisoners........the fact he was THERE proves he was not their stooge.

The Democrats have not turned up anyone credible to make these claims in public.......that indicates even the Dems put no faith in them.

Most importantly, McCain shows the effects of torture.....he was injured in the crash, but his injuries were exacerbated by having his shoulder shattered with a rifle butt, being hanged by his arms, and having been beaten so often he still does not walk normally.......

Funny.....McLamb is an American with top security clearance.....I would have thought you'd have called him a liar on that evidence alone..........

So let these "numerous POWs" come forth............don't hold your breath.

This is COMPLETE crap, DB.

Who told I was a liberal? I've quoted Buchanan more than any other person on this forum. Why would a liberal do that??

Suppose I called you a Nazi . Is that OK with you?

Unless something dramatic has happened today all politicians are liars. That is their stock and trade. The surest way to tell when a politician is lying is watch their lips. Any time they move they are lying.

He isn't capable of being President because it's possible he didn't take well to torture? What a crock of nonsense.

McCain admitted on the record that he begged the Viets to have mercy on him and offered crucial information for their kindness:

And this means what for his ability to be President? It's a dirty irrelevant smear tactic. Wasn't there enough of this bs when Kerry was running?

That's the point: this issue was fair game when it involved Kerry. Therefore, it has to be OK today as well.

Like I always say, apply the same standard to everyone without exception.

Those weren't standards, they were unethical dirty tricks. Just because some stoop to the lowest of lows doesn't mean everyone has to or should. If the other party wants real change they should denounce this.

As Jefferson said, politics is a sullying business.

If the Democrats want to win they will have to learn to play dirty just like the Republicans do. If not, it will be four more years of the GOP and a world in chaos.

The problem is that with Kerry it well may have been truth.......at least partially.

I think Kerry did deserve credit for his bravery, but writing himself up for medals for extremely minor injuries.....well.......

There is NO doubt about McCain's performance.

Other than McCain being a nutcase and a worse warmonger than Bush, there is nothing wrong with him. McCain says he was tortured in Viet Nam.........He is a politician....Ignore half of what he says and strongly doubt the other half.
