An expert computer analyst has presented evidence that so-called "Al-Qaeda" tapes are routinely digitally doctored and has also unwittingly exposed an astounding detail that clearly indicates a Pentagon affiliated organization in the U.S. is directly responsible for releasing the videos.

"Neal Krawetz, a researcher and computer security consultant, gave an interesting presentation today at the BlackHat security conference in Las Vegas about analyzing digital photographs and video images for alterations and enhancements," reports Wired News.

"Using a program he wrote (and provided on the conference CD-ROM) Krawetz could print out the quantization tables in a JPEG file (that indicate how the image was compressed) and determine the last tool that created the image -- that is, the make and model of the camera if the image is original or the version of Photoshop that was used to alter and re-save the image. "

Krawetz's most telling discovery comes in the form of a detail contained in a 2006 Ayman al-Zawahiri tape. From his analysis he concludes that the As-Sahab logo (the alleged media arm of Al-Qaeda) and the IntelCenter logo (a U.S. based private intelligence organization that "monitors terrorist activity") were both added to the video at the same time.

Very few people have heard of him I expect. But then mention Black Hat at your next dinner party and most people will shrug and ask what that is. Should you ask the same question to a hacker or someone who works in technology security, you stand the chance of getting the twenty minute answer.

It's a big deal alright. I'm not sure how many people will understand it though.

So, does this theory only apply to the videos released on American television? Al Jazeera routinely runs these videos, and many never see airtime at all in America. If the aim is to convince the public that Al-Qaeda is responsible instead of the Bush administration, why do these videos not see the light of day on American networks?

Don't think doctored video is aa hallmark of the Muslim radicals alone. Many governments use this method to prees their points to the viewers they wish to reach. Many of the US military videos in the action areas are doctored too. While I have had no first hand experience with the really competetive "News Now" concepts there are alleged to be many news items doctored in a similar manner.

I don't know what I cleared up to be honest. I said none of what you said.

The left owns and operates all of the major newspapers, all of the networks (Turner and CNN, old Dan Rather, Couric, Barbara Waa Waa, the list goes on.). Talk Radio belongs to the Right and the Left (Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi, et all) wants it silenced. So it is the left wanting the only media that they do not control silenced and oppressed. Just like Pelosi said to Clinton which was caught on tape...

"We have to do something about this talk radio."

Why not the whole news media? If it is controlled by the right should they not want that silenced as well?

The rich gets rich on their own. The Left gets rich by keeping the poor oppressed and to their nipple. They feed them just enough so that they come and beg for more. The Left helps them just enough but NEVER lets the poor get out from under OR never lets them forget who gave them scraps.

The Left means equality. That is the idea but as it has been proven there is NEVER equality in a socialist and communist (i.e LEFT) system. Oh sure... there will always be the march to a Workers Paradise but it will never be reached. The Soviets proved that...the Chinese prove it. There will always be classes of people.

Surely you do not expect the wealthy left leaning folk to give up what they have do you? They will pit poor minorites against poor and middle class white people but it will NEVER reach their doorstep. Forced Bussing, Affirmative Action, Anti-Snob Laws... are you familar with all of those?

Well the Right or the GOP hardly ever get support of the Unions. The only time i can remember is the Police Union supporting Reagan. When I was in the Electrical Union they handed out voting lists to everyone. I think I can only remember one Republican Local State Rep being on it in all those years. Even after NAFTA was passed the Union Bosses hooted and hollared how we are going to get them back (i.e politicians) but in the end it was the same list... all Democrats.
