you aren't supposed to punch a guy with glasses.
I have doubts on the possibilities of twenty years, but the guy will be charged and likely convicted on much lesser charges,
"has been charged with misdemeanor assault"

For misdemeanors, defendants often also have the option of performing community service, participating in criminal education programs, or being on house arrest rather than serving time in jail.
