I was up most of the night thinking about President Trumps speech after being sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America. Three Isms came to mind as I recalled his words. Most everyone knows the meaning of these Isms so I won't elaborate. The first Ism is Populism. His speech was saturated with this Ism. The second was Nationalism .This Ism filled his words at every turn. The third and last Ism is Jingoism. As evident in his speech as the first two Isms. Are these Isms positive things? Only history can tell.. The speech ended with, "Make America Great Again". Believing that America was ever "Great" is a matter of a perspective of the word. If anything was ever Great about our country it was the immigrants who built it, and the welcome arms of Miss Liberty that gave people a chance at a better life.
