On August 4, the American Center for Law and Justice obtained over 400 pages of documents related to Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s infamous tarmac meeting with Former President Bill Clinton last summer. When the original Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request was filed under the Obama Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had denied that any such records existed; now, approximately 413 pages of documents have been made available to the public…
The results of the request are truly shocking. The event itself, the scandal leading up to it, and its aftermath following Trump’s inauguration are each complex in their own ways. Given the importance of bringing the corrupt actors in the U.S. government to justice and reversing the extreme militarization enacted by Obama on his departure, one must examine the event as part of its broader timeline, and then the nature of each piece of the puzzle.
As with many Clinton scandals, the coverup of the scandal ends up becoming bigger than the scandal itself. On its face, the efforts of the DOJ and FBI to cover up the Clinton-Lynch meeting are a direct acknowledgement that the meeting was inappropriate to begin with, and that the discussions that took place therein warrant further and detailed investigation. The ACLJ has announced its plans to formally request un-redacted documents based on Freedom of Information Act requirements on Monday, August 7. The un-redacted documents should be made available within 20 business days of the request…
The release of the un-redacted information will allow Americans to bear witness to the fine print detail of what is now possibly the biggest scandal in the history of Presidential politics. Here, the mainstream media has been caught in the act of taking orders from a DOJ inappropriately colluding with the FBI to ensure a favorable outcome for a Presidential candidate and former First Lady being investigated for mishandling classified information and following a fraudulent primary. The collusion in question led the sitting Attorney General to downplay and spin her off-the-records, pre-coordinated meeting with a former President seeking her favor to protect his wife from scrutiny and penalty as she embarked on a campaign improperly supported by the sitting administration, the Democratic Party, and mainstream media, while actively under FBI investigation.
Determining whether it was Comey at the FBI or Lynch at the DOJ who committed a more grievous sin in aligning their agencies in favor of the suspect of an FBI investigation may be a fool’s errand. Regardless, the coverup of the Clinton-Lynch tarmac meeting may go down in history as the lightning rod that marks the beginning of the end of the careers of those involved with the Obama administration and Clinton’s failed campaign. With the media indicted and the Democratic Party in full collapse, the corrupt cannot be swept into the dustbin of history soon enough.
